Hireology's technology empowers businesses to build great teams. Over the last ten years, we've grown from a startup to a market-leading organization with over 180 team members, and we've created an award-winning culture that makes this company an amazing place to work.
Looking to make your mark and scale a high-growth B2B business? If so, think about the impact you could have by owning product analytics at Hireology.
We're looking for someone who can provide quantitative insights to help us better understand our users and customers based on their actions, measure the impact of various product decisions from both the user experience and revenue perspectives, and quantitatively guide product development and roadmap decisions. As the leader of this division, you will also drive structured experimentation to design, test, and iterate on strategies to fuel user adoption and retention within our product. While you will report to the SVP, Product and Growth and part of the Product Leadership team, this is a highly cross-functional role that works closely with product management, user experience, marketing, customer success, and engineering. Beyond product analytics, you will have the unprecedented opportunity to work on product growth capabilities in analyzing, defining and driving key product engagement metrics and initiatives.
The ideal candidate has strong familiarity with a wide range of systems and tools, is highly structured and results-driven, and loves to think big and solve ambiguous problems.
As a the leader of the Product Analytics organization, you'll be responsible for:

  • Analytics Strategy & Operations
    • Develop and lead a comprehensive Product Analytics strategy and framework that proactively measures success and informs critical decisions as it relates to the product strategy
    • Drive a deep understanding of product usage across customers, cohorts, personas, etc.
    • Methodically generate quantitative analyses that translate data into actionable insights that lead to product innovation and (or) improved business efficiency
    • Develop and manage a process and methods to effectively manage time, effort, and output of analytics deliverables
  • Roadmap & Projects
    • Partner with Product team to assess business impact and customer outcomes for planned product features and recent product releases to enable data-driven product roadmap decisions and understanding
    • Overseeing quantitative research projects independently, including monitoring progress and proactively identifying challenges
    • Generate ongoing analytical insights and presentations to the executive team regarding impact of the product organization and facilitate decision making based on those insights
  • Product Engagement & Growth
    • Influence the product growth strategy for the business leveraging analytics insights from the full funnel and lifecycle of the product
    • Develop and act on recommendations to identify opportunities to increase product adoption at each touchpoint of the customer journey
    • Influence user adoption and retention through collaborative experimentation (using commercial tools) of user and customer growth initiatives, both in and outside of the product
    • Collaborate with Product Marketing teams to increase product activation through targeted messaging and collateral
  • Team Development & Collaboration
    • Partner with Product Development (Product Management, UX, Engineering,) to ensure that the business launches high quality and reliable products to the market
    • Identify and advocate for impactful changes the Product organization should make as part of the roadmap
    • Collaborate with our 3rd party partners to integrate their data that support our analytics objectives
    • Proactively engage with internal stakeholders in supporting the accessibility and understanding of product data and insights
    • Assist with the maintenance and continued development of the company's business intelligence ecosystem
    • Learn new programming languages, relevant technologies and obtain industry-recognized certifications, as we continually build our skills and explore new things
    • Be an effective coach and leader to direct reports and to others

So what kind of person are we looking for in this role? We have a pretty unique culture here at Hireology, and the person who will be successful in this role will be:

  • Player - Coach: You'll be rolling up your sleeves and getting the job done, while coaching up the team and providing support to others.
  • Influence without Authority: The right leader will thrive at influencing without authority, coaching their team, and capable of taking deep analytical insights and tying them to effective framing to align and drive high quality decisions -- both within our product teams and across the larger business.
  • Fast and Scrappy: You will set the pace. What works today literally will not work tomorrow and you'll need to thrive within these constraints. We start small, iterate quickly and scale where necessary.
  • Metrics Driven: There are a myriad of signals you'll learn to understand and manage, ensuring our customers are happy, engaged, and informed. We're passionate about data and trends and managing key performance indicators and you will be as passionate about our bottoms-up approach to providing insights to our internal clients.
  • Possess Integrity: Not negotiable in this or any role at Hireology. You have the highest level of integrity and discretion.
  • Work Independently and with a Team: Some people work best individually and some as part of a team. The ideal candidate is a chameleon who can succeed both on their own and work within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
