ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Senior Product Manager in our Payments team, you’ll be the key to launching new capabilities and identifying consumer and merchant needs while keeping a regular pulse on the market. The Payments team will support business initiatives and company OKRs and deliver new capabilities to the market. You’ll own the product strategy for digital payments, a roadmap and work closely with engineering to refine new capabilities and collaborate on delivery. 

This role is US based only but we are open to any of our US offices in Chicago, IL, Conshohocken, PA (Philly), and New York City or fully remote in any of these states: CA, DE, IL, IN, FLA, MA, NY, NJ, NC, SC, PA, TX, UT, VA, WA, CT, MD, MI. From time to time, there will be limited travel to our offices as the need arises.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

As Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for enabling digital payments capabilities in support of the online business that comprises ecommerce merchants and ShopRunner members. You will provide guidance on new strategic initiatives backed by market research, latest trends, and voice of the customer. You will be passionate about solving customer problems and constantly finding ways to differentiate in the market while staying focused on providing the best user experience.

You’ll oversee products that drive discoverability and marketability and be the expert on how to create a seamless payment experience across multiple modalities. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Define the product and go-to-market strategies and create the roadmap to scale payments to drive performance for merchants and brands.
  • Become familiar with ShopRunner business model and its product offerings
  • Become the subject matter expert on our digital wallet and its capabilities and limitations
  • Prioritize and plan initiatives based on research, customer feedback and input from market-facing teams, taking calculated risks and balancing trade-offs along the way.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, QA and Analytics to define, build, test, launch and measure new payments initiatives.
  • Work with Design to learn about customer pain points and improve the retail shopping experience as it relates to payments.
  • Maintain a pulse on the changing payments landscape and our merchants current payments capabilities.
  • Engage with Data Science to build models that enrich and transform raw data into content that improve discoverability, increase purchase intent and drive productivity. 
  • Create processes that drive product adoption with counterparts in Onboarding, Customer Success and Marketplace Partnerships.
  • Manage multiple initiatives and routinely shift priorities to meet business needs.
  • Maintain an evolving product roadmap complete with business needs and be able to articulate the needs to engineering and other stakeholders accordingly.

You’ll report to the Director of Product - Payments, and work together to establish the overall vision for our Payments team.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Product Experience. Bachelors degree and 10+ years of product management experience, successfully building, launching and growing digital products (payments industry experience is a huge plus); 5-8 years of professional experience, working in the payments space is highly desired.
  • Customer Advocate.  You are obsessed with understanding our customers, and their customers, ultimately improving experiences for both parties.
  • Strong Communicator. You communicate clearly and persuasively in multiple mediums with peers, engineers, designers, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Management Experience. Experience growing and leading product teams and mentoring junior PMs.  
  • Outcome Focused: You are skilled at defining, monitoring, and optimizing KPIs to measure the business impact of your products.
  • Cross-functional Player. You are comfortable working with diverse stakeholders to align on goals, set expectations, report progress, and resolve conflicts. You are excited to collaborate with various teams - from Sales to Operations to Data Science. 
  • Bias for Action. You know how to make things happen and plan for times when things don’t go smoothly.
  • Comfort with Ambiguity & Change. You are excited about working in a startup environment and unfazed by the ambiguity and dynamic culture that come with it. You’re not afraid to think big and build light - optimizing for speed-to-market and learnings.
