We’re looking for a Product Manager, Platform

Built In is seeking a Platform Product Manager responsible for building utilities, frameworks and shared services that help scale our tech platform and bring consistency to our user experience. . This tech oriented role will be responsible for leading application platform, integration,  and infrastructure platform roadmap. You will also be responsible for internal tools to improve customer success and operational efficiency.

You will define and evolve our end-to-end platform product vision, strategy and execution to build amazing products and services for our internal teams. You will work across technical functions teams to maintain and build platforms that are essential to our future growth. The position reports to the VP - Product.

How you’ll contribute

• Responsible for Platform Scaling by driving the roadmap for APIs, shared services and integrations. Define re-platforming requirements, understand architecture implications, and build the next generation of robust platform capabilities that scale the customer and user experience. 
• Responsible for the tech platform performance and stability by driving initiatives around software upgrades and platform modernization. 
• Deliver internal technical products to help increase operational efficiency. 
• Partner and collaborate across various internal teams to prioritize outcomes driven roadmap covering engineering, site reliability engineering, QA, internal customer operations and integration with customer and user products. 
• Execute on OKRs for platform scalability and stability  and drive the scrum team towards achieving these outcomes. 

What you need

• BS in engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in technical product management or working on technology teams defining and implementing core engineering features. 
• Experience working with application and platform engineering teams with deep understanding and passion for platform systems and APIs. 
• Experience in HR Tech and Integrations with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) a huge plus. 
• Experience with User authentication, Security and Compliance is a huge plus. 
• Solid track record of technical acumen, being able to quickly understand technical details of a product or platform. 
• Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to partner with internal teams - highly adept at managing product and other stakeholder expectations and balancing competing urgent priorities. 
• Analytical mindset with the ability to structure and process qualitative data and draw insightful conclusions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Experience in Agile Development, principles and practices including scrum process and use of SDLC tools (specifically Confluence and Jira). 
• Ability to document detailed product concepts in the context of user needs, business impacts, and technical requirements
• Not afraid to ‘roll up the sleeves’ and seeks to go outside comfort zone to learn
