Senior Product Manager: UK Adviser Products
The Role: Morningstar's Adviser Client Experience (ACE) team is looking for a talented Senior Product Manager in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region to lead the development and deployment of a new product focused on serving the UK adviser market. This new product will leverage and be the first instantiation of a unified global platform to deliver our latest advice software capabilities worldwide and begin to grow and nurture members of the Morningstar community spanning advisers and investors.
We aim to provide a financial plan for every household, and as such we are making financial planning a core part of our adviser and client community experiences globally, including in the UK. Following the launch of the new Morningstar Risk Ecosystem https://newsroom.morningstar.com/newsroom/news-archive/press-release-details/2021/Morningstar-Risk-Ecosystem-Launches-Across-7-Million-Portfolios-to-Help-Advisors-Put-Investors-Best-Interests-at-the-Core-of-Investment-Advice/default.aspx as well as the ongoing integration of Morningstar's 2020 PlanPlus Global/FinaMetrica acquisition https://newsroom.morningstar.com/newsroom/news-archive/press-release-details/2020/Morningstar-to-Acquire-Software-Provider-PlanPlus-Global/default.aspx, we are looking for an inspired, detail-oriented, self-starter who can lead the development of a new product focused on serving the UK adviser market, which will leverage a new global platform developed to enable the efficient and configurable delivery of Morningstar's leading (and growing) financial and investment planning capabilities. It is paramount that this individual understands the unique needs of the ~27,000 UK-based advisers. Currently, across the Morningstar UK footprint, we have several in-market solutions serving several thousand Members (subscribers), that will ultimately be transitioned into this new unified experience.
As is consistent throughout our global platform footprint, the UK product will enable the following core experiences: 1) prospecting & client engagement, 2) financial planning, 3) portfolio management & monitoring and 4) research & due diligence. To succeed, the Senior Product Manager will need to organize and collaborate with several teams, including technology, design, market research, global product and local (UK) sales and commercial stakeholders, as well as current and potential UK clients to triangulate market needs and opportunities in the region. Although accountable to these stakeholders, this individual will ultimately own the experience, delivery and direction of the UK product and its alignment to the overall global platform, and will be enabled with the appropriate development squad(s), as well as close partnership with a team of technical/systems architects.
The candidate for this role is ideally based in the UK/EMEA, but we are "location agnostic" within this geography and will also consider North America-based candidates with the right qualifications. We will also consider candidates working remotely where Morningstar is registered to conduct business.
