Open to Long-Term Remote For U.S.-Based Candidates

Level Ex uses state-of-the-art video game technology and cognitive neuroscience to accelerate the adoption curve of new techniques and products in medicine. Using the psychology of entertainment - our games drive an order of magnitude more engagement than other digital HCP marketing and training approaches… and we are just scratching the surface of what is possible.

Our games revolutionize the way medical professionals advance their clinical skills, earn CME, and keep up-to-speed on challenging cases, new drug therapies, medical devices, and clinical best practices. The company's medical video games run on phones, tablets, and web browsers, and are played by over 750,000 healthcare professionals. Our latest cloud-gaming platform allows multiple users to diagnose or treat a virtual patient collaboratively over video-conferencing platforms like Zoom. Top-20 pharmaceutical and medical device companies (including J&J, Amgen, Philips, Baxter, and many others), national medical societies, and government organizations such as  NASA leverage Level Ex’s acclaimed platform for HCP education and training.

  • Apply ruthless prioritization across products / product features, including a willingness to shelve products or ideas that are not meeting expectations through various product development lifecycle stages.
  • Coordinate project kickoff deliverables with the Production team, and transition projects from Pre-Sales to Production, to Optimization phases.
  • Present the capabilities of our platforms, product opportunities, competitor research, and information on our players to clients
  • Identify areas of risk to product roadmaps and escalate rapidly to find solutions.
  • Consume and analyze product data to make informed decisions on future solutions.
  • Effectively guide Production, Design & UI/UX team strengths to conceptualize, spec, and implement features, mechanics, systems, and new client offerings that leverage play.
  • Respond articulately to client questions around feasibility with our technology from a simulation, education, video game design, timeline, and cost perspective.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Product Management experience, including within the SaaS Healthtech industry.

An Insider's view of Level Ex

What are some social events your company does?

A few times a year, Level Ex has a company-wide game day. It’s a great way to allow co-workers that normally wouldn’t work together to meet and hang out. It also provides a way to explore different game mechanics in all types of games. I can have fun with a teammate in Boston and another in Colorado all while playing with local co-workers, too.

Curtis Schmidt

Director of Video Production

What does your typical day look like?

No day is exactly alike, which keeps work interesting! I interface with clients and physician advisors to identify any challenges for physicians to learn about a device, treatment solution, procedure, or medical topic. I also work with our internal design and dev team to create medically accurate experiences that satisfy physicians' learning needs.

Maggie Xing

Senior Biomedical Solution Specialist

What makes someone successful on your team?

What makes someone successful on my team is leaning into the interdisciplinary aspect of Level Ex’s culture and workflow. You really have to embrace learning from others and simultaneously enjoy teaching others about your own discipline. This building of collective knowledge not only makes this team successful, but also makes us unique.

Victoria Perizes

Senior Biomedical Solutions Specialist

What unique initiatives do you have that encourage innovation?

We hold company-wide ‘game jams’ where we assemble into small teams that each quickly build an entirely new game from scratch. In a 2-3 day period, each team chooses and tackles a problem in medicine: from infection control to diabetes. This is one of many ways we fuel cross-disciplinary collaboration and creativity between art, dev, and design.

Sam Glassenberg

Founder & CEO

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I started at Level Ex a few years ago on the Medical team, focused on ensuring that we achieved clinical accuracy in all of the content in our enterprise games. Since then, I’ve served as a discipline lead and am now in the role of Product Manager, helping identify and build features that are valuable to our clients and end users.

Product Manager
