As Product Manager in the Drivin Product Team, you will play a key role in identifying potential products, determining requirements and specifications, developing and supporting products with technical teams and bringing products to market. You will work closely with our data science and engineering teams, operations, customer support, and other stakeholders in the business, both internal and external. You will be results-oriented and therefore obsessed with the customer, always looking to deliver business value. You will be technically savvy and hands-on, willing and able to master technical capabilities as needed to deliver. As Product Manager, you will regularly communicate internally and externally, both written and verbally, and be expected to present to multiple audiences on a variety of topics. Importantly, you must be passionate about technology and become a champion of automation and new capabilities within our industry.

This role calls for a collaborative leader that has great communication skills and a vision and passion for the future of automotive and how this impacts the digital wholesale landscape.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and own the development of a compelling product vision for DRIVIN.
  • Lead product market research, assess risk, and build business opportunity cases.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap of offerings that provide a unique and sustainable competitive differentiation.
  • Define product goals and regularly report on KPIs.
  • Envision, articulate and prioritize a long-term product strategy designed to achieve these goals.
  • Clearly communicate strategy and goals to product/project teams and ensure delivery against them.
  • Closely partner with data science, engineering and design to define problems and solutions, requirements and prioritization.
  • Communicate product vision and value internally and externally to stakeholders and customers.
  • Be willing to travel occasionally as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS or equivalent experience is required; MA or MS is a plus
  • 3+ years of product management experience in a technology-oriented organization, with a proven track record of successfully launching B2B and/or B2C technology products and services.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and experience overseeing multi-function product/project teams with at least 5-10 team members including Engineers, Analysts, and QA Personnel.
  • Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate Agile Project Management tools such as Jira and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
  • Proven ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level.
  • Experience with cloud-based environments, amazon web services (AWS) preferred.
  • Experience with analytical tools to measure product performance.
  • Understanding of finance, technology and data science concepts to be applied within automotive a plus.

Location

Our Chicago office is located in River West on the North Branch of the Chicago River. We have free shuttles to major train stations and CTA lines.
