What You'll Bring
Requires 15+ years of related business experience with at least 5 years that focus on market and industry analysis. Must have strategy or business planning experience.
Deep knowledge and experience in product strategy and management, preferably in financial services, technology, or big data
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and conceptualize solutions that solve business problems
Ability to drive and facilitate discussion amongst key stakeholders in the pursuit of optimal solution strategies
Proven success navigating large, matrixed organizations - Collaborative, customer-focused individual who can reach across the organization to effect change
Must be comfortable analyzing financials, with strong project management skills, problem solving, and business acumen
Proven ability to quickly grasp industry and business-wide concepts in order to assess implications to drive actions and to capitalize on opportunities
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or other related discipline

Impact You'll Make
This team is responsible for Strategy & Planning leadership across all of TU’s Global Solutions. They will collaborate across multiple solutions and vertical lines of business as well as other cross-functional groups (Finance, Technology, HR, Marketing, etc.) to develop business plans and strategies for these new and existing solutions. This role will own the development and delivery of the Global Solutions 3 Year Plan (3YP), development of board materials and other executive communications, competitive analysis and will participate in M&A due diligence.
This Solutions Strategy leader will serve as the lead in relation to strategy & planning, staff coordination, and best practice sharing across the entirety of the Global Solutions organization.
This role is responsible for helping develop long-term, solution-driven strategies to meet TransUnion’s growth and profitability objectives, globally, across its five strategic solution families (currently Credit, Specialized, Fraud, Marketing and Emerging). You will build and steward the implementation of the Global Solutions overall strategic 3-year plan and revenue forecasts.
Directly develop, communicate and execute the three-year strategic and operating plan for the Emerging Solutions business
Drive, provide thought leadership to, coordinate and quality control the overall cohesive Global Solutions strategy and 3 year plan, that integrates across the individual Solutions businesses to meet the long-term product growth objectives of TransUnion
Create a process to review, update, and refine the overall solution strategy as well as ongoing portfolio and business priority management
Help solution leaders identify and manage new ideas and opportunities for growth, including M&A, investments, etc.
Work with the verticals, sales and others to create the market engagement plan that defines how we leverage our internal capabilities (e.g., marketing, sales, analytics, etc.) to best get our data & solutions to market
Manage a small team to drive change and improvement across Global Solutions. Coach and mentor direct reports and other key individuals across the company in both execution of plans and their careers
Gather voice of the customer, vertical & Region leaders and the relevant data & analytics marketplace
Continuously monitor direct competitors and other relevant companies to provide accurate and timely competitive intelligence to the Global Solutions leadership
Gather market intelligence on macro-economic and industry trends, consumer behaviors, regulatory changes and hurdles, disruptive innovations, and competitive offerings to validate and refine our product roadmap and go-to-market strategy
Support appraisal of select new product ideas to determine their potential to address customer needs and to achieve revenue and EBITDA growth goals
Develop and manage processes and coordination of strategy and planning activities across Global Solutions, which include monthly business reviews, etc.
Support the execution of selected Global Solutions Strategy projects, collaborating with relevant functional market leaders to create and maintain plans that have clear and measurable targets while tracking and reporting progress against business growth plans
This Solutions Strategy leader will serve as the lead in relation to strategy & planning, staff coordination, and best practice sharing across the entirety of the Global Solutions organization.
The role will need to keep abreast of emerging technologies, data and customer use cases across products, verticals and regions in order to look for connections, threats and opportunities. Using that insight the role integrates, stress-tests and helps develop multi-year strategic roadmaps, which align with specific business unit goals, while defining high-level product capabilities and future needs to meet those requirements. The role is also responsible for developing and/or reviewing business cases and financial models, which support associated investments, and quantify the value delivered by the strategies.
This Strategy & Planning role will help establish a framework, discipline, best practice and content sharing mechanisms, and long-term planning and forward-looking solutions design for all the Global Solutions teams to ensure TU remains relevant in markets around the world and can continually grow market share in the face of our competition
