About UPshow
UPshow is the leading in-venue social media display network in the United States. With thousands of screens in venues (health clubs, restaurants, sports bars, and leading family attractions like Navy Pier) across the country, UPshow allows patrons to display their social media posts instantly on TVs within the venue. UPshow gives businesses a vastly increased social media presence by maximizing the customer posts inside their venues. In doing so, we enable businesses to automatically build a database of customers that they can connect with over social media, invite back, and encourage to stay longer and spend more.
About The Role
UPshow is looking for a VP of Product to drive the vision and strategy of the product that’s rapidly changing the way businesses do TV. This role reports directly to UPshow’s CEO and will be counted on to boost UPshow’s competitive edge and the innovation of our product. They will partner with the Chief Creative Officer to lead the integration of UX and design with the product function. This person will also work closely with the Chief Technology Officer to guide the software engineering team and drive the product roadmap.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the product vision and strategy
Create, design, test, and roll out all future products
Take ownership of the quality, sustainability and innovation of all existing products and features
Support all integration between hardware and software
Ensure all new product features and effectively communicated internally and externally
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Builder’s Mentality – This person will enter the company during a period of rapid growth and will be expected to lead and make a meaningful impact
Intense Creativity – This person will have a “blank slate” opportunity to impact the UPshow product and should have the visionary leadership capabilities to make our product the best it can be
Interpersonal Skills – Excellent internal/external communication skills are a must, as this person will be collaborating with colleagues across multiple functions daily
Management Skills – This position will be involved with leading, mentoring, and expanding the software engineering and UX teams at UPshow
Adaptability – This person should be energized and excited by working in a fast-paced environment and be able to effectively manage the priorities of the creative team as changes occur
Preferred Skills + Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
8-10 years of experience, including previous experience leading the product function at a mid- to large size SaaS company.
Experience with the following is strongly preferred:
Building and launching new products at a marketing/media tech company
Working on products serving the hospitality, fitness and/or health industries
Prior experience leading teams of software engineers
