Job Overview
The IVANS Division of Applied Systems is focused on offering a unique and innovative software platform that enables interface data exchange between carriers and agency partners serving the P&C Industry.
Project Managers are responsible for the overall delivery of a project or multiple projects. This includes the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring (including overall communication plan and associated follow-ups), and successful completion of implementation, optimization, and other customer-facing projects.
Working with our clients, Project Managers are responsible for the successful execution of all activities required to successfully complete system implementation, and product optimization, on other projects utilizing a methodical approach to planning and guiding project processes from start to finish.
What You'll Do
- Create and/or execute against a comprehensive implementation project plan; define and manage project scope adapting to evolving requirements
- Ensure the appropriate level of stakeholder engagement in order to successfully execute against established timelines and desired outcomes
- Prepares, conducts, and documents internal and external project meetings
- Implement and maintain multiple project schedules, project documents, and meeting notes following established internal and external requirements
- Monitor deliverables and timing, the responsiveness of resources, and deliverables to internal and external customers
- Provide integrated change control via an established change request process
- Provide comprehensive ongoing risk management
- Ensure that the communication strategy is executed across the project teams
- Perform appropriate and timely follow-up with both the customers and internal areas to ensure the project plan is progressing as scheduled both proactively and on a reactive basis for known work; conduct meetings when necessary
- Provide recommendations and communications for mid-course adjustments both internally and externally
- Successfully manage client relationships by aligning with the client Project Manager and effectively addressing and resolving conflicts in a timely manner
- Create, maintain, and distribute accurate project status reporting across all active projects
- Experience using Kimble, Salesforce, or other project management tools preferred
- Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate manager or management team
What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for someone who:
- Can work remotely or from an Applied Systems office
- Ability to travel (post-COVID-19)
Your experience should include some or all of the following:
- Minimum of 5 years of Project work experience including the ability to manage large business and technology projects through the full Software Development Lifecycle
- Customer Success or Relationship building experience
- Extensive knowledge in the use of Project Management methodologies (agile, scrum, waterfall, etc.)
- Thorough knowledge of Project Management methodologies including the procedures, processes, products, and systems necessary to understand how to analyze and interpret complicated information in carrying out assigned tasks.
- Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages; execute with limited information and ambiguity
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Project Management and/or some specialized training
