As part of this journey, we have created an outstanding new opportunity for an Agile Practices Lead.

 

The Agile Practices Lead is focused on growing and sustaining consistent and effective Agile principles and practices across the enterprise in partnership with a broad array of stakeholders. This leader will be responsible for creating and scaling agile ways-of-working, establishing, and maturing an agile coaching function, and instituting a framework for measuring agile practices health and maturity. Critical success factors include the ability to drive and inspire change, and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

 

Responsibilities

 

Evangelize, influence and guide the advancement of agile ways-of-working throughout the organization: across teams, management, and senior leadership at the corporate, regional and property levels.

Assess current state of Hyatt’s agile practices and develop a multi-year roadmap for efficiently scaling agile practices at the enterprise level, inclusive of people, process, and tools.

Lead the definition of agile learning journeys and codifying learnings and best-practices into consumable artifacts (agile bootcamps, ways-of-working playbooks, etc.).

Define and manage success metrics and KPIs on agile execution. Ensure strong organizational information flow to provide transparency, measure progress and drive continuous improvement.

Spearhead the establishment of Hyatt’s first Agile Coaching capability. Build a highly functioning team of Agile Coaches through a combination of external recruitment and internal development. Manage Agile coaching capacity requirements.

Lead the establishment and continuous improvement of an Agile coaching community of practice (COP) across the lines of business/segments including clarifying the Agile delivery practices roles and standards of excellence, helping coaches measure their effectiveness and providing a structuring learning environment.

Orchestrate design and execution of experiments in new ways-of-working within early adopter business and functional units. Orchestrate the coaching frontrunner pods to support and provide guidance on applying agility to elevate overall people and team performance.

Develop and institute methods to normalize practices across teams and assess the health of agile teams, driving consistency and commonality and helping the organization reap the benefits of agility at scale.

Develop effective relationships with leaders; build consultative relationships focused on outcomes.

Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.

Experience

 

Have successfully led agile transformations in large multisite organizations, establishing a culture of customer-centric experimentation and data-driven decision making with a focus on achievement of outcomes vs activities.

 

12+ years of related experience, with significant hands-on experience in agile methodologies, agile coaching, and leveraging Lean methodologies centered on team empowerment, continuous improvement, and eliminating waste.

 

Deep knowledge of outcome-centered goal setting, and experiment-driven approaches to opportunity discovery and solution design.

 

Experience establishing and coaching agile / learning-centric cultures and ways-of-working in functions beyond IT/Digital, including Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations and Executive Leadership teams.

 

Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, from c-level executives to front-line employees.

 

Experience building Agile Coaching teams and capabilities from the ground up.

 

A highly empathetic leader who seeks to deeply understand/appreciate the context in which they are operating, but who also relentlessly drives people, processes and products to create progressive world-class experiences. Experience building and developing teams and talent in evolving organizations; a genuine passion for coaching, developing and growing people and their craft.

 

Education

A Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field; Masters preferred
