We’re looking for an Associate Project Manager to join our Operations Team in Chicago, IL.

General Functions + Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting and contributing to the development and implementation of RXBAR’s company-wide process and project management discipline
• Build rapport with cross-functional partners to work collaboratively, and lead resources (internal and third party) in the execution of cross-functional initiatives
• Utilizes strong facilitation and change management skills to efficiently and effectively drive results beyond project execution. Direct ownership of project kick-off meetings, regular project status meetings, and closeout/lessons learned discussions.
• Proven ability to effectively convey ideas and solutions across all levels of the organization
• Develop timelines based on critical path milestones, ensuring alignment and transparency to drive accountability, with the ability to articulate dependencies and slippage impact
• Approach projects and process with a Continuous Improvement perspective; help identify opportunity areas and develop the change management approach to gain stakeholder engagement
• Manage project performance using key reporting metrics, escalate constraints and delays to management as needed

Skills + Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of project management and/or project coordination experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field
• Experience in managing and leading diverse, cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and manage in a cross-functional environment with the director and executive level of management
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Quick learner that can internalize and manage new processes
• Excellent presentation skills
• Understanding of food manufacturing and consumer packaged goods (CPG) is a plus
• Technical proficiency in project management application; PMI or equivalent certification is a plus

Highly visible and organized in nature, the Associate Project Manager will coordinate and manage cross-functional strategic projects across the organization by analyzing all projects, identify risks, managing all resources efficiently and assist the project team to resolve all requests from project members. This function is new to the organization; therefore, this individual will be a key contributor in helping define the function, process needs, and structure with the current team. Projects will vary in scope and will span all aspects of the organization.
