ALUMinate inspires greater university philanthropy by creating vibrant regional alumni communities. Many universities and colleges struggle to create lasting and meaningful relationships with alumni and friends who live far from campus yet yearn to stay connected to their alma maters. ALUMinate provides this linkage by organizing, supporting and cultivating alumni in major cities through the combined use of our advanced technology and on-the-ground professionals in major cities, working hand-in-hand with universities’ central alumni relations and advancement teams.

Designing and delivering highly effective and relevant experiences to alumni across all age groups, professions and interests is a hallmark of our highly personalized service offerings. Whether it be a large networking event, a small dinner party for top donor prospects or a meet-and-greet program for recent graduates moving to Chicago, the Client Experience Manager will take ownership of these events, from design to execution to post-event evaluation. This client-facing role will work closely with the internal ALUMinate team, particularly the Senior Engagement Officer, and the university or college staffs as well.

First and foremost, the Client Experience Manager will share ALUMinate’s passion for ensuring that institutions of higher education retain the enthusiasm of alumni and friends for their school throughout their lifetimes, even though they live far beyond campus. Ideal candidates aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to make things happen and must be highly self-motivated and directed.

Credentials

• Minimum bachelor’s degree.

• Proven success in event design and execution.

• Familiarity with venue options, events and major neighborhoods in Chicagoland area is a must.

• Fluent with basic Microsoft and Google products such as Word/Docs, Excel/ Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides.

• Ability to use web-based apps such as Slack, ProsperWorks and WordPress with ease and efficiency is highly preferred. Responsibilities

• Strategize, plan, implement, staff and manage events.

• Catalog venue options throughout the Chicagoland area, creating reference database.

• Negotiate venue event agreements, working with COO.

• Develop event “playbooks” that will direct event responsibilities and activities of staff and volunteers.

• Develop protocols for diverse set of alumni engagement events and activities.

• Prepare reports to universities on the outcomes achieved through events.

• Document all events and activities for internal use, developing management
