Role Description:

The Client Implementation & Success Specialist (CISS) will join ShipBob’s growing Implementation team responsible for embodying our mission to help businesses be successful online. The CISS will deliver value to both internal stakeholders as well as our merchants through the successful pairing of merchant needs with ShipBob's robust fulfillment and technology offerings. This role will own all aspects of large merchant vetting, pricing specialized services, and developing and improving internal processes.

Client/Merchant Vetting

  • Build a global system for client/merchant vetting
  • Personally vet all large client/merchant prospects in collaboration with Sales team
  • Develop expertise on Dangerous Goods and make recommendations to Sales team members and clients/merchants

Sales Engineering

  • Advise on and develop pricing models for specialized needs, including kitting and other operational capabilitiesWork cross-departmentally with Sales and Product to best identify appropriate integrations for clients/merchants.
  • Make strategic operational recommendations to prospective and new merchants based on merchant needs

Client/Merchant Onboarding

  • In person onboarding to all mid to large accounts.
  • Train Operations team on new merchant’s needs.

Liaison: Serve as a liaison between internal teams and merchant

  • Communicate directly with sales, implementation, and operations teams to ensure our merchants are set-up for success at ShipBob.

Ongoing Process Improvement & Efficiencies

  • Identify conversion rate trends & provide recommendations to Enablement to enhance training and Leadership to expand service offerings.
  • In line with Quarterly Business Reviews performed by Merchant Success Managers, perform quarterly audits of the physical and the fulfillment aspects of ShipBob to merchant partnership for largest tier of client/merchant accounts.
  • Continue to drive efficiencies and automations within the Client/Merchant Vetting process

Exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) based on:

  • Merchant retention
  • Process optimization
  • Cost reduction
  • Sales conversion rate

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales and client services in technology industry
  • Operator’s mentality: experience in distribution or fulfillment to best liaise with our sales team and merchants in consultative fashion in the fulfillment industry
  • Patience: knack for methodical educating of clients to ensure adoption and success
  • Aptitude to sell via quota attainment
  • Keen perceptive intelligence in assessing client needs and driving solutions to meet those needs
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through oral, written, and in-person mediums
  • Experience collaborating cross-departmentally to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients
  • PowerPoint and Excel skills
