Summary
The Delivery Executive of Transition Services is responsible for building a repeatable process for scoping, pricing, and managing the transition of other agencies or companies into SDI’s Managed Services offering. In addition, this individual will be familiar with SDI’s Managed Services offering(s) in order to assist Sales with acquiring new clients. To provide maximum return on investment for the client, the Delivery Executive of Transition Services will direct resources supporting the assessment. Upon completion of the transition, the management of the client will be transferred to a delivery manager within the Managed Services practice. Additionally, the Delivery Executive of Transition Services reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
The position requires the desire and ability to coach and mentor employees, including formal review and evaluation of project team members and direct reports. The Delivery Executive of Transition Services participates in defining future offerings or the Managed Services practice. This role is also expected to participate in business development by expanding SDI’s presence in current clients, as well as finding new project opportunities where possible.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain processes for scoping, pricing, and managing transition plans for Managed Services
- Support Sales and Account Representatives with explaining/selling the Managed Services offering
- Support client’s strategic and tactical planning processes for in scope Services, including IT linkage to business objectives and technology standards and architectures
- Oversee the management and coordination of subcontractors, outsourced IT resources, and Third-Party vendors during the transition
- Develop and provide reports (daily, weekly, monthly) that provide a status of transition activities
- Assist the client with maintaining current support during the transition period
- Provide management reports on the progress of the transition plan
- Participate in Problem Management review sessions during the transition, specifically those problems related to outages of critical systems
- Coordinate with the client and third-party service vendors to gather information on IT systems and service availability issues and trends to be used for transition plans
- Maintain project plan(s) and report status on a set timeframe (i.e. weekly, bi-weekly or monthly)
- Development of effective working relationships with clients to facilitate communication and technology understanding
- Coordinate activities between business development, delivery executives, marketing, finance, legal, and operations
- Ensure project delivery and quality
- Direct the execution of the transition plan including procedures, deadlines, and accountability
- Responsible for client satisfaction
- Maintain and expand executive client relationships
- Identify, interview, and recommend hires needed to staff project(s)
- Determine training needs for consultants on assigned project(s)
- Supervisory oversight and responsibility for cost, schedule and resource performance
- Assure that consistent governance, documentation, process and procedure strategies are in place
Supervisory
- Validate the time and expense entry process for the project
- Ensure the annual review process is followed for project team members
- Manage the project team’s utilization
Accounting / Financial
- Manage program/project budgets and coordinate the invoice process
- Generate bi-weekly and/or monthly project invoices
- Monitor and follow-up on all outstanding project account receivables
- Provide regular forecast updates for revenue, cost, and profit
- Contribute to the account planning process
- Maintain estimate-to-complete (ETC) project financials
- Update sales pipeline

Requirements
- 20+ years experience in a consulting environment, including hands-on management of large project teams
- Bachelor’s degree is required (Master’s degree desired)
- Prior consulting experience is highly preferred
- Experience with managed services projects or outsourcing
- Management of traditional design/build projects for Security and/or IT Infrastructure
- Excellent written, oral and listening communication skills
- Professional communication skills for client support
- Strong analytic and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead, facilitate, and organize
- Must have good leadership and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and self-directed
