Summary

The Delivery Executive is responsible for client and internal project oversight which includes all related environments, processes, systems, and initiatives. The Delivery Executive participates in defining the technical strategic direction for fulfilling clients’ needs, and is involved in aspects of system design and development.

The Delivery Executive requires the desire and ability to lead, coach, and mentor employees, including conducting formal reviews and evaluation of project team members and direct reports. The position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer, with support from the Director of Operations, and typically manages projects that range from $100,000 – $10 million in size but may be involved in leading projects of any size.

Responsibilities

Delivery Excellence

  • Responsible for account P&L
  • Delivers high-quality outcomes on engagements
  • Coordinates with Talent Acquisition and Account Management on planning resource needs and staffing assignments
  • Monitors delivery including managing of project risks
  • Collaborates with QM to develop quality plans, monitor delivery quality, and determine and execute mitigation of any quality issues
  • Successfully leads teams and drives team excellence practices
  • Gathers client feedback
  • Functions as an escalation point for clients and SDI team members
  • Monitors utilization and collaborates with Account Management to support engagement profitability
  • Conduct retrospectives to further improve delivery and team performance
  • Meets or exceeds specific budget targets for profit, loss, and revenue as set by the COO

People Management and Development

  • Supports engagement team members in defining engagement goals and building competencies and skills
  • Meets regularly with engagement team members to ensure they have the right level of engagement oversight and development support
  • Provides feedback and recognition to project team members

Business Development

  • In coordination with the Account Executive and SDIALIGN, identifies and proposes opportunities where SDI can help increase client effectiveness
  • Engages with the client, Sales, and Account Management in identifying, solutioning, and proposing on extensions
  • Assists in developing or updating SOWs, contracts, MSAs, NDAs, rate cards, etc.
  • Engages with Sales throughout the opportunity lifecycle in solutioning, proposal development and presentation, oral presentation, and negotiation
  • Collaborates with Account Management and Sales in shaping and kicking off new engagements

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a consulting environment, including hands-on management of small and medium project teams
  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple projects at a time that range from $100,000 – $10 million in size
  • Experience managing and performing traditional design/build construction phases for security and/or IT infrastructure related projects
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead, facilitate, and organize
  • Flexible schedule for off-hour responsibilities/emergencies
  • Commitment to company values
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Project and Service Management Certifications preferred (e.g., PMP, ITIL Foundation)
