OK, so where do you fit in, you project management maverick? 

Eight Bit Studios is looking for an organized and collaborative Digital Project Manager to join our team. You must be able to work on site in Chicago and you must actually love what you do. We’re looking for a team leader who is super adaptable and can collaborate closely with our user experience, product design, and development pros to support creation of incredible and inclusive digital products. 

As a Digital Project Manager, you will bring your history of successful execution of mobile and web project management to our collaborative environment. You will be able to quickly assess situations and make recommendations to help keep our processes rolling. You will create and maintain production schedules, report on budgets and timelines, and create client status reports to keep our partners in the loop and feeling good.  As the ultimate taskmaster, you will take detailed meeting notes, gather feedback and keep internal team communications flowing. You’ll be working across multiple projects, each with their own teams, so you’ll need solid organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, and a gut level understanding of when and how to say ‘no’ in order to manage various (and sometimes competing) needs and priorities. Through it all, you will keep a great communication channel open with all stakeholders, keep an eye on the project scope and feature prioritization, and be a champion of the empathy for the team and the end user.  

Are you still with us? Great, now here’s what you need for the role: 

• 5+ years working in project management with agile methodologies in a mobile and web development environment - tech consultancy experience gets you brownie points

• Demonstrated success working holistically and cross-functionally to deliver results on time and on budget, plus the foresight to call it out if either of those things are going off the rails 

• A solid method of keeping up with new requests and maintenance asks, distilling asks to feature sets, and breaking them down into packets of work for your team 

• Ability to understand business objectives and the needs of our clients and translate those needs into real solutions. You make sure clients know they are an essential part of the team and that you are the project expert for their feedback, questions, and troubleshooting
