JOB PURPOSE:
Overall responsibility for development and implementation of customer focused digital strategy and platform execution for Industrial Power Systems Division across emarketing, ecommerce and mobile. As Aftermarket Digital Platform Supervisor, reporting to the Aftermarket Business Systems Manager you will work collaboratively with dedicated Industrial Power Systems agencies and technical teams to define the digital platform strategy that supports the division’s strategic objectives.
JOB DUTIES:
Position will manage a small team responsible for facilitating the design, development, deployment and maintenance of digital roadmaps for the platform solutions leveraging professional standards and methodologies.
This position will be involved with managing relationships with internal stakeholders and partners as well as that of external contractors and agencies, track and monitor their performance and ensure related service level agreements are met. As the key point of contact between Marketing Promotions, Global Information Services, Aftermarket and Product Support, this position will manage the operational relationship between these teams, ensuring that communication flows smoothly and projects run on time and within budget.
• Define a five year digital platform strategy for Aftermarket, ensuring it is reviewed twice yearly and refreshed in order to keep Industrial Power at the forefront of digital capabilities
• Accurately scope technical components of overall solutions
• Responsible for associated digital marketing systems, processes and technologies, defining and executing their development roadmaps
• Responsible for digital platform budget and reporting to senior management, identifying where capital could be required and raise appropriate RFI.
• Contribute to the digital branding strategy planning and development
• Mobile strategy development and design of mobile marketing roadmap
• Develop relationships with digital agencies / vendors and involved in vendor selection process
• Assess new digital platform technologies, tools and techniques and regularly review in line with strategy for best fit for the business, including social channels
• Lead a cross functional team to define and execute IPSD Aftermarket social strategy – with a five year horizon
• Create and execute plans, revising these as necessary to meet the demands of the project(s)
• Advocate development best practices
• Provide hands-on development support to project teams where necessary
• Apply significant knowledge of technologies and innovations in order to resolve complex team challenges
• Act as liaison between other disciplines and technology team members
• Interface directly with the business sponsors when required and present innovation, issues and risks
• Effectively communication issues, risks and dependencies with project stakeholders, escalating where appropriate
• Build good relationships with team members, ensuring a high level of team morale and assist them in their career development
• Interact with, direct and influence multiple, cross-discipline agency partner teams, including business strategy, budget management, technical architecture, marketing and product management.
Qualifications
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
• 7+ years professional experience in marketing, business systems and project management
• Experience implementing large scale marketing solutions / programmes
• Budget management experience
• Experience in leading teams and agencies
• Experience designing and building website and applications
• Experience with open standards technical stack (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
• Experience working in or directly with an agency and/or creative and/or technical consultancy is advantageous
