The Technology Group Leader is a critical role in our technology organization. This leader owns the strategy and operations of our internal hardware, telecom expense management, software systems and solutions that are used to support our external clients of Paylocity. They will be responsible for the strategy, availability, maintenance, and operational activities for all internal end user systems. He/she will be accountable for the overall success of the End User Services Category, which includes Help Desk, Desktop Support and Desktop Engineering teams and the leadership teams associated with these groups. This person will work closely with teams across the entire organization including technology and other business verticals. They will seek out and execute on new technology trends while providing guidance and industry experience to ensure success. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working actively across all levels of the entire enterprise.

Requirements

Required Experience: 

• Owns the employee work technology experience 

• Aligns end user technology solutions and services with business and people needs

• Manages and operates the desktop support function at scale

• Experience providing support, services, and solutions to a remote workforce

• Experience providing enabling solutions to end users in a face-paced agile organization

• Developing a multi-year end user strategic roadmap through self-service, automation, and innovation

• Thought leadership and a proven track record of solving complex problems

• Drive and/or lead large complex cross-functional initiatives

• Continuously improve end user services and support through metrics and OKR’s

• Managing capital and operating budgets

• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise a high performing team and influence them to take positive action and drive accountability for their assigned work

During the last three months, you would have:

• Managed and mentored managers and IT staff, directing their day-to-day activities

• Planed, designed and executed strategic technology initiatives 

• Pushed boundaries and challenge existing practices by automating manual processes and seeking new ways to incorporate process improvements 

• Participated in and lead change management activities to roll out system changes to production and internal systems

• Managed and ensured effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems

• Worked closely with 3rd party vendors and contractors and was responsible for contract negations and budgetary items

• Partnered with and advised other business organizations to successfully launch and integrate new systems

• Built relationships and communicated with various types and levels of stakeholders across the organization

• Compiled and analyzed metrics concerning capacity and operations of internal and enterprise systems
