Director of Program Management - Data at Morningstar

The Role:
This role is an ideal position for someone looking to be a driver of innovation at Morningstar. The Data team is seeking a proactive leader to optimize and drive the global cross-team execution of getting new data, calculations, and IP in the hands of investors. This vital leadership position will work closely with the Data senior management team as well as key stakeholders across the company to support project prioritization and develop, organize, and manage the activities of programs that cross multiple teams and are large and complex in scope. As a program manager, you will be responsible for developing resource, capacity, and productivity analysis of the Data team. This position is based in the Chicago office.
Responsibilities
+Own portfolio of data projects.
+Advance operations management to ensure proper resource and capacity analysis and deployment.
+ Develop key performance indicators and lead monthly program review with business stakeholders to report on and facilitate conversations regarding KPI status, progress, resources, and risks.
+Develop measurements to analyze resource availability, utilization, and productivity.
+Establish and ensure team’s adherence to best practices in the creation of new data sets and the evolution of established data and analytics.
+Liase with global teams, including technical and product teams, to facilitate and align schedules and resources.
+Lead and ensure efficient change management.
Requirements
+ Curious, creative thinker with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
+ Deep knowledge of Morningstar data and products.
+ Strong project management, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
+ Proven success working in a fast-paced environment while still producing high-quality, detail-orientated work.
+ Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across regions and data universes.
+ Knowledge and demonstrated use of LEAN Six Sigma tools.
+ 5-7 years experience in project and/or program management
+ Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree or CFA a plus.
+ Certifications in project management highly desirable.
