Editorial Project Manager
The Role:
Morningstar’s editorial department seeks an enthusiastic, results-driven Project Manager to support multiple teams, including Morningstar.com and Morningstar magazine, our flagship channels showcasing Morningstar research. This role focuses on content management and optimization across digital, audio, video and print. This position is based in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities:
• Define and manage content projects from end-to-end, working closely with the editorial, marketing, ad sales and production teams
• Communicate and track the project plan to cross-functional teams, ensuring its overall success
• Define, manage and improve the content development process
• Mentor/educate team members and peers in project management methods and best practices
• Manage and drive change where needed to core operational processes, dynamically reacting to evolving needs and priorities
• Effectively communicate objectives and updates to all key stakeholders
o Work with analytics team to develop reporting cadence
o Help teams define benchmarks for reports
o Assist in the development and execution of reader surveys
• Work with marketing managers and social media team to execute content (infographics, videos, images); help manage roll-out schedules across channels
Skills:
• Experience with project management in a creative or editorial environment
• Self-starter, comfortable with implementing and executing Agile development processes and accepting responsibility for seeing projects through to completion
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and management skills
