About the Role

Reporting to the Marketing Lead and working closely with our tight-knit team of mission-driven marketers, the successful candidate will plan, manage, and execute virtual and in-person events across CMMS Data Group’s North America region. The Event Manager will be responsible for co-developing and implementing strategic and multi-faceted event programs designed to support and drive CDG’s marketing, and broader organizational, initiatives.

We operate in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and you must be willing to get your hands dirty.  You must display impeccable attention to detail and possess the ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage simultaneous event timelines for large customer events including but not limited to – Annual User and Training Conference, Virtual Livestreams, Webinars, Summits, Conferences, and Tradeshows.
  • Responsible for the project management of all events including but not limited to - maintaining event timelines, assigning tasks, managing deadlines, and cross-functional deliverables.
    • Research and source potential venues for conferences and other events.
    • Constantly deepen knowledge of target market trends to present options that are ahead of the trend.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential venues and vendors.
    • Initiate contract negotiations with event venues and hotels.
  • Provide detailed follow-up, including ROI and year-over-year comparisons, on conferences and other events by incorporating historical knowledge of those events.
  • Delegate tasks to the appropriate team member(s).
  • Create realistic deadlines to implement into each event timeline.
  • Maintain prompt communication cross-functionally.
  • Identifying and managing potential risks of multiple projects.
  • Adjusting schedules, budgets, and targets on the project as needed.
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships and event budgets.
  • Work closely with cross-functional team members to ensure lead qualification and campaign member follow-up process is flawless.

 

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in events, preferably in B2B
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications.
  • Ability to thoroughly organize simultaneous events projects and curate detailed event timelines.
  • Ensure that nothing is overlooked in the event timeline with close attention to detail.
  • Roll your sleeves up attitude.

Terms of Employment

Full-time salaried position with great benefits including a 401(k) with company contribution and health insurance costs covered at 95%.
