Summary of Responsibilities: Supports the research and implementation phases of large-scale, high-impact food supply chain projects, critical to new product development, cost savings and supply chain scalability.

Project Implementation:

Identify suppliers, negotiate pricing, arrange logistics and work on packaging solutions
Work with cross-functional stakeholders from culinary, production and marketing, to implement projects for maximum success

Conduct market and supply chain research:

Use industry resources and supplier interactions to better understand market landscape
Understand best practices for a given industry or supply chain practice to help inform project strategy

Stakeholder engagement:

Work with cross-functional partners to understand challenges and opportunities project represents to other departments
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to problem solve and plan ahead of project execution

Financial Analysis:

Gather information on costs and potential savings / benefits to project
Compile information to deliver complete financial analysis of complex projects to inform strategy recommendations

Qualifications:

Strong excel skills
Knowledge of cost analysis models
Excellent communication skills, experience working with cross-functional partners and a range of stakeholders
Supply chain experience a plus, but not necessary
Degree in economics, business or supply chain preferred

As a leader, Stone knows that one of his responsibilities is to mold the culture of his team. Hosting events that bring everyone together

Iyer is a senior manager of new product development, but she also plays an active role in Home Chef’s cross-functional group, HC Connect. The group organizes social events that promote a sense of belonging across the company and also collaborates with the many affinity groups at Home Chef. Recently, Iyer attended a Mardi Gras trivia night where she learned about Creole culture and Spanish law.

I try to attend as many events as possible. I want to support my peers, but I also walk away with more than I expected, whether it’s a piece of trivia or understanding someone’s perspective in a new light.
