Job Description
The Information Security Program Manager will ensure the day to day organization of a growing security program and help ensure the enterprise preserves accountability and execution of regulatory requirements. You will participate in the development and delivery of awareness and training programs as well as creating a communications program to the enterprise and key stakeholders.
What you do at Avant:
- Organize information security programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the Avant Information Security Master Plan
- Facilitate cross functional programs to support the strategic direction of the organization
- Report on and projecting quarterly and long-term goals of the team and program risks
- Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer and other executives on implementing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement
- Provide accountability on a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities
- Ensure department goals are met in areas including compliance, employee training and awareness, threat detection and response, data security and third party vendor evaluation
- Develop content to train and test employees on good working habits as it relates to information security
- Ensure meetings begin on time with participants’ prep material collected and delivered in advance
- Optimize team and project schedules
- Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved
- Meet with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services
- Produce regular communications reporting on program status to the enterprise and internal stakeholders
- Work on information security awareness and promotion strategy with the marketing team.

- Bachelor's degree (or Master's degree) in Management, Business, Organizational Leadership, or a related field
- Proven experience in program development and management
- Proven stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience facilitating and leading teams in projects
- Competency in business document management and creation platforms (G-suite, Office, etc)
- Understanding of project management principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Follows instructions clearly and accurately within a timely fashion
