As an Integrations Manager on the Echo Global Logistics Integrations team, you will provide leadership and management Integrations Engineering team. This role will also be working closely with shareholders as part of the integrations delivery process. This position requires day-to-day management of team personnel, communication with key stakeholders and subject matter experts, and hands-on experience-based delivery leadership. This role will also require direct interaction with a broad range of senior, technical and functional managers and subject matter experts throughout the organization.General Responsibilities
- Responsible for cultivating integrations engineering and the skills of individuals on the team as well as fostering a healthy, collaborative and team-first environment
- Proactively identifies and lead change in the improvement of team processes, technologies, and engineering practices
- Consistently delivers exceptional results by maintaining a highly effective integrations engineering team
- Support the integrations engineering team by removing obstacles, identifying risks, facilitating communication, troubleshooting issues, leading communications with stakeholders, and prioritizing tasks
- Facilitate planning and estimation within the team as well as high level planning and estimation across teams and business stakeholders
- Hold teams accountable and own overall team results
- Foster collaboration with other teams and functions
- Establish and maintain a high level of SDLC rigor amongst the integrations engineering team members.
- Focus on delivering exceptional results for internal and external clients.
- Work closely with stakeholders to maintain a close alignment between engineering projects and client expectations.
- Keep engineering teams and stakeholder well informed and focused on expectations and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (technology preferred) or equivalent work experience
- Experience building and managing engineering teams: Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, etc
- Experience developing/implementing enterprise-scale integrations solutions
- Experience with enterprise integrations and middleware platforms, BizTalk preferred
- Experience with EDI and Restful/SOAP APIs
- Experience building and utilizing a pipeline within in an organization practicing modern methods
- Experience with Object-Oriented languages, relational and NoSQL databases, and enterprise messaging systems including: Java, C#, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, Neo4j, RabbitMQ, Kafka
- Expert understanding of the software development lifecycle and its related team roles
- Knowledge of functional languages and relevant use cases
- Strong team building and leadership skills
- Results oriented -- ability to motivate teams and instill accountability
- Ability to drive change and continuous improvement collaboratively with other leaders
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
