Job Purpose:
This Program Manager role is responsible to prioritize, plan, resource, and execute initiatives effecting strategic technology deployment, elimination of technology debt, business analytics, and business reorganizations/restructuring.
Description:
This role supports the IT organizations within Caterpillar's E&T segment. Primary duties include:

  • IT Demand Management
  • Budget Management
  • Facilitation of Group CIO Operations Review
  • Strategy Facilitation / Coordination
  • Software & Hardware Asset Management Leadership
  • Broadened Special Projects


Basic Requirements:

  • Six years of progressively responsible project-related experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or influence others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
  • Strong project management skills, team leadership skills, excellent communication skills, strong analytical and organizational skills.


Top Candidate Will Also Have:

  • College or university degree with a technical focus is highly desirable.
  • Professional training in leading and facilitating meetings.
  • Previous 6 Sigma Black Belt experience is a plus.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Previous experience building business cases with data.
  • Previous experience with program budget processes & procedures.
