Portfolio and Process Manager
Job Description
The Portfolio and Process Manager is responsible is responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close). Must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
In addition, this role is responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project. May communicate with a Senior Project Manager, Functional Area Manager, or Program Manager regarding status of specific projects.
Responsibilities
Project Management
·Manage execution of the tasks as defined in the project plan in order to achieve the project goals
·Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, updated, reflective of authorized project changes as defined in the change management plan, and may facilitate customer acceptance
·Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders
·Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance with the Project Plan, in order to align the stakeholders and team members
·May be responsible for managing/ recording detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables, using requirement-gathering techniques (e.g., planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups) and the project charter
·Conduct a kick-off meeting with all key stakeholders in order to announce the start of the project and review the overall project plan and gain consensus
·Recommend and Implement the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events in order to minimize the impact of the risks on the project
·Improve team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, mentoring, training, and motivating in order to facilitate cooperation, ensure project efficiency, and boost morale
·Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with others

·Trained and able to help perform Clarizen administration: user license provisioning, system settings review, end-user documentation and system configuration (workflows,validation rules,custom fields, etc.)based on internal product decisions

Minimum Requirements
·Demonstrate and Educate as a Deep Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Project Management process and tools as well as application of Agile Methods.
·Experience communicating effectively with high levels of management and direct client contact.
·Experience with software methodology development processes.
·Experience with implementing Phase Gating and Executive Governance.
·Ability to identify and manage key interdependencies between projects and programs to provide a portfolio view of critical relationships.
·Ability to create presentations and write business cases under some direction.
·Ability to work under tight deadlines managing multiple priorities.
·Project budgeting/costing expertise.
·Ability to solve very complex problems and deal with a variety of work situations.
·Desire to remove complexity and implement automation.
·Proficiency with MS Office and SharePoint toolset.
·Proficient in Project Management tools. Current in-house tool is Clarizen.
·Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience required. Advanced degree desired but not required.
·PMP Certification or working toward certification within 12 months.
·Agile Certifications, such as CAL1, PSM, CSM or working toward certification within 12 months.
·3-5 years project management experience.
·7+ years of professional work experience.
