This role is responsible for improving change quality across Discover by generating fact-based insights and collaborating with partners to implement improvements that reduce customer harm. Minimizing harm arising from Consumer Impacting Events (CIEs) as a result of change is a key component of Operational Excellence, Discover’s top priority. This role will partner with and support Problem Management teams, Business Technology, Business Risk Officers as well as Initiative Owners and Process owners and others managing change across the enterprise.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Create and analyze the Change Management scorecard and socialize it with the leaders and other key stakeholders
- Continuously improve the scorecard to make it more actionable and include measurable leading indicators
- Work with the problem management team to ensure retrospectives of change related CIEs are completed, own the enhancement backlog, and and drive implementation of improvements
- Analyze and optimize the Change Management Workflow
- Run problem solving sessions to identify opportunities and resolve blockers
- Management backlog of enhancements needed for non-toolkit processes and support prioritization of backlog
- Support the Change Management Toolkit team to drive continuous improvement and transparency to end users
- Support each Value Stream in reaching its goal of reduced change related CIEs
This highly visible role will play a critical part in driving quality within Discover to reduce errors, increase operational efficiency and better serve customers.
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
- Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts, Computer Science, Infrastructure Technology Solutions, Business, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in Project Management, Computer Science, Infrastructure Technology Solutions, or related field
Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, Computer Science, Infrastructure Technology Solutions, Business, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in Project Management, Computer Science, Infrastructure Technology Solutions, or related field
- Agile and/or Kanban
- PMP
