Professional Services Resource Manager
The Role
The Resource Manager position will focus on improving quality and efficiency in Resource Management and related delivery efforts in Professional Services. In this position will report to the Director of Professional Services Operations and will communicate and collaborate with Professional Services leadership and Engagement Managers to identify and implement process improvement related to project and team resourcing.
- The ideal candidate will have previous Project Management experience and be a self-starter
- Be knowledgeable of the project team structures across the PS organization in order to effectively plan and staff for project resourcing.
- Provide process improvement strategies for the resourcing and request process.
- Own and keep current a Professional Services and Partner skills matrix.
- Partner with Professional Services Leadership and Engagement Managers to assure Professional Services resources are maintained at acceptable billable and productive utilization levels with maximum quality and efficiency.
- Maintain awareness of the sales pipeline and plan resourcing appropriately for proactive project resource planning.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve quality and efficiency in project delivery and resource management through interaction with cross-departmental partners.
- Monitor project progress and project roadblocks with project managers and PS Management to coordinate activities and resolve scheduling issues.
- Complete data entry duties using Salesforce, Wrike, an additional project and resourcing tools, as well as utilize Word Excel and SharePoint to input information/data into templates.
- Understand the capacity of each individual and how to maximize the individual's bandwidth.
- Provide input to individuals and leadership regarding techniques to create more bandwidth through efficiencies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- At least 2 years of similar experience in resource management
- Experience with resource-scheduling software experience desired
- Fundamental skills and ability to build effective and productive relationships with both clients and internal resources.
- Great communication skills via phone, email, and chat tools
