Program Manager, HIPAA

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Program Manager to help Vibes navigate and deliver on on-going compliance programs associated with HIPAA. An ideal candidate will be a passionate steward for compliance, a empathic and patience communicator, and an organized wrangler of disparate work streams.

This is a high-priority, high-impact role for Vibes at this exciting time of growth acceleration.   If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to lend your organizational acumen to a project with meaningful impact, then look no further! 

This position will work remotely and report to the Chief Information Security Officer. This role will begin as a 6-month engagement, but it may evolve into a full-time position by early-to mid 2022.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Chief Information Security Office and relevant executives to translate vision into executable plans
  • Develop multiple project plans to facilitate ongoing compliance with HIPAA; establish timelines for all required tasks, identify and assign task owners, and provide ongoing updates to all stakeholders
  • Coordinate and oversee the various work streams involved in the program
  • Keep work streams moving forward by holding work stream leaders and executors accountable and surfacing blockers early
  • Work closely with others in related departments, including Technology, Talent, Finance, Customer Success
  • Maintain clear and updated documentation regarding progress against plan
  • Proactively identify and address issues that could create delay or risk to on-time completion of projects
  • Act as liaison between teams, ensure transparency and clear communication around requirements, obstacles, progress, and risks to completion
  • Communicate updates on all facets of the projects underway, including but not limited to the Technology Leadership Team, Engineers, Product Managers, and the Executive Leadership Team

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a program/project management role, at least 2 years' experience in software development 
  • Strong understanding of effective project management processes and practices
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
  • Experience with rolling out a compliance program across an organization
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects that require input from multiple executive stakeholders
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adjust to changes quickly while meeting deadlines
  • Strong issue and risk management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
  • Healthcare regulatory or compliance experience preferred, but not required
