The team
Our Program Management team works on some of the most impactful and challenging problems in the Software industry. We are a highly collaborative cross-border group that operates on the edge between Engineering and the business and helps to deliver solutions from concept to launch – all while focusing on and advocating for what’s best for our customers. We work closely with Product Management, Engineering and Design to create some of the most innovative never-been-done-before products. We partner with the Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Security teams to successfully bring the product to market.
This position
The Program Manager is expected to be an individual contributor and work with various members of the Product Management, Development, Design, Product Research, Data Science, Marketing, Field Enablement, and other cross functional release teams to design and build functioning products that solve real-world problems through leveraging program management techniques and processes. These include management of scope, timeline, risk management related to projects that support our software development process and communicating clearly with project sponsors and stakeholders. The role will help with analyzing and rolling out of operational rigor around the planning process for the teams to efficiently operate and deliver products that address challenging business problems. This role will actively track and measure the effectiveness of the process updates and provide recommendations and facilitate remedial actions to deal with anomalous activities.
This position reports to the CLM Director of Program management.
Responsibilities
● Manage technology program and process updates including, defining milestones and success criteria, resource allocation and successful on-time delivery.
● Ability to exercise analytical judgment while working with cross-functional teams.
● Work on driving development of tools and processes to improve software engineering productivity.
● Communicate schedules, priorities, and status to all levels in the company.
● Conduct interviews and research to verify hypotheses in support of our process updates.
● Work with vendors, tools team, and data consumers to build reporting capabilities enabling measurement of success and improvement of operational rigor.
● Use data to identify opportunities for business improvement and defining/measuring the success of those initiatives.
● Define communication plan for programs and lead communication within teams, to stakeholders and in Program-run meetings.
● Gather requirements and determine ways to optimize/improve product and product rollout to market.
● Promote adoption of best practices among Product Development and release teams for supporting DocuSign customers.
● Work with Product development teams to ensure correct priorities are set and communicated to all cross functional teams.


Basic Qualifications
● A Bachelors degree and or equivalent experience with emphasis on analytical skill set.
● Ability to develop strong cross-team relationships and partnerships.
● Possess strong negotiation skills to be managing priority and execution of work without authority.
● Strong Organizational skills with ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
● Ability to synthesize data from various streams and present in a digestible bite size manner to upper management and execution teams.
● Aptitude for conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively to drive goal oriented results for teams.

Preferred Qualifications
● Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
● Experience programming in a team software project – at school, professionally, or in an open source context.
● Experience in program management, release management and/or engineering management working on software engineering projects.
● Participated in rolling out a process change in an organization.
● Have working knowledge of one or more programming languages such as HTML, Python, React, Node, Angular JS...etc.
● Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
● Possess working knowledge of project management tools like MS Project, Smartsheets, Open Project.
