Job Description

 

McDonalds Global Data Warehouse development group is responsible for defining and implementing our global applications to ensure consistent integrated information is available for Consumer and Business Insights, Operations and Finance. The BI Platform deploys data warehouse technology to provide global capabilities to over (90) markets. We are part of the McDonalds Enterprise Information Technology Group.

We are looking to have an experienced Project Leader to join our Development team. You will lead all release related activities ranging from requirements, change management, release planning and strategy, development and testing efforts, for Sales and Product Mix Analysis (SPA/EMIX) and Transaction Detail Analysis (NGTDA) teams as well as assisting with forecasting and budget for the entire BI Platform the responsibilities include:

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Are you able to Craft and maintain release strategy & plan, project charters, project plan?
  • You are someone who leads meetings and discussions to align with IT Partners, AOW Leads, and other Business Partners for project scope and schedule.
  • You create and maintain a communication plan to ensure timely and regular communications to GDW teams, AOW Partners and Business Partners.
  • You understand business and critical operations requirements in order to discern technology impacts and build appropriate project roadmaps
  • You are capable of providing direction and resolution pertinent to requirement, design/development issues, performance, and testing.
  • Business End User management, teamwork and communication.
  • Internal team-building, up-skilling resource management.
  • Working with McDonald’s Operation and Technical Product teams to build solutions to evolve the current processes.
  • You provide change management process to ensure minimum impact to project schedule and cost
  • Ensure all appropriate technical requirements, design and user documentation is create via the migration process
  • Review and provide oversight to BI Platform budgets and budget processes.
  • Occasional domestic US and International travel may be required.

 

Minimum Requirements

We are excited to add an individual that has a proven track record of delivering solutions from initiation all the way through deployment!

 

Possess premier project management, project planning, mentoring and organizational skills coupled with strong aptitude. Excellent oral and written communication skills to facilitate and lead discussions among multi-functional groups. Experience in leading information technology project teams (offshore) in the area of project development is key, as well as experience in project partner engagement and relationship management. You're a self starter, self-motivated, innovative, highly adaptive, and able to prioritize critical business issues

 

Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical is REQUIRED!
  • 5+ years professional work experience
  • 1+ year as a Project Lead
  • 2+ years of field testing and/or technology deployment experience
  • 1+ years of customer service focus / Partner Management

Desired skills:

  • McDonald's business experience/restaurant experience. Preferred Technical knowledge: Knowledge of McDonald’s POS, Kiosk, MOP and other restaurant technologies.
  • Ability to lead projects end to end
  • Ability to communicate clearly and dedicatedly with partners
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong working relationships
  • Ability to assemble and clearly communicate technical information to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, often changing and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities successfully
  • Passion for the generating new solutions to satisfy business challenges
  • Have experience working as a critical resource on project teams
  • Understanding of business risk & financial impact of technical decisions
