Project Manager - Global Technology (U.S.)
Job Description
Global Technology (U.S.) has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Deployment Services & Restaurant Technology Infrastructure team supporting our 14,000+ US restaurants. This team provides two key IT functions. The first is to select, develop & certify all technology hardware and Operating Systems (OS) to support existing and future initiatives in the US restaurants. The second is to manage the infrastructure and tools that enable McDonald’s to schedule, remotely deploy software, report on restaurant assets and identify/resolve issues for +240,000 restaurant devices. This position will be a key contributor to the long term strategic plans that improve deployment and hardware/infrastructure capabilities focusing on performance, reliability and security. The successful candidate has strong project management skills and thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment managing multiple high-profile initiatives with competing priorities and many stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Development and execution of project management plans for major initiatives
- Providing leadership to large, cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of releases
- Status reporting and communication to stakeholders, including regular leadership updates
- Effective meeting facilitation
- Continuous improvement of the deployment process and project management processes
- Management of initiatives & activities requested of our strategic provider
- Building and maintaining relationships with Owner Operators and Suppliers through active participation in Restaurant Technology Board teams
- Represent the Deployment & Restaurant Infrastructure teams on projects and at meetings
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent related experience and/or PMP certification
- 8+ years overall IT experience
- 5+ years of Project Management experience that includes large scale deployment
- Excellent planning, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Detail oriented, self-starter
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle & methodologies
- Proven application of project management principles and processes
- Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Advanced skills in building and sustaining individual and team relationships
- Experience working with and managing external vendors
- Advanced skills in project management disciplines including project and resource planning, change management, risk and issue management, project reporting including project financials.
- Adapts readily and leads project teams effectively through changing priorities
- Achieves alignment among stakeholders and exhibits a strong level of decisiveness in a timely manner
