The Project Manager, Operations is an organized, detail-oriented self-starter who leads cross-functional projects mainly focused around starting up new Operator Technology in our plants. This role builds and leverages relationships, communicates across all levels of the organization, and pushes forward multiple projects at a time. This role makes a large impact on enabling lower cost fulfillment operations, and there are ample opportunities to grow and progress quickly in our rapidly expanding operations organization.
Design and Implement Operator Technology
- Develop a plan for the annual Operator Technology capital budget based on ROI and operational impact. Be comfortable presenting to Operations Leadership for approval
- Lead the designing and purchasing of new equipment with input and approval from Safety, FSQA, and site management
- Travel to sites to start up equipment, train operators, and assist in troubleshooting when necessary
- Effectively integrate operator technology into the planning process
- Develop robust training and certification process for operators, Quality techs, and mechanics for all Home Chef operator technology
- Provide guidance as subject matter expert for equipment best practices
Participate in HC Network CI Planning and Execution
- Collaborate with National and Site CI team to implement initiatives with Operator Technology, procurement, food safety & quality, and plant fulfillment
- Report out Operator Technology utilization metrics and improvement initiatives to National CI team
- Participate in network Kaizen events

- Minimum of 2 years of managing projects and resources with $100k or greater scope in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in production/operational environments
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
- Interpersonal skills to work with team members across functions and in both production and corporate environments
- Analytical proficiency to meet variable needs of the business
- Ability to think “outside-the-box”
- Ability to react on the fly to unforeseen production and planning scenarios as they arise
- Computer proficiency (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, PowerPoint)
- Strong ability to track details and to keep track of projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Results-oriented attitude; able to multitask and get things done
- Willingness to embrace change and adjust quickly in a fast-paced environment
