DRW is looking for a Project Manager to oversee and manage a wide range of project and operational activities for our internally-managed wireless networks. This an opportunity for you to utilize both your project execution skills and analytical abilities in a dynamic, technology-focused environment that provides continuous new challenges and opportunities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal and external field technicians and subcontractors; provide ongoing direction regarding maintenance and deployment-related work; ensure work is completed in accordance with company quality and safety standards
  • Perform regular site inspections and review maintenance checklists with field technicians
  • Oversee and audit the deployment and testing of new infrastructure at wireless sites
  • Create and maintain project plans, schedules and documentation
  • Provide management with regular reports on project progress and operational issues and risks
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors to negotiate and execute service agreements; ensure that service level agreements are being met
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure ample inventory and delivery of equipment and supplies
  • Track billing schedules for wireless sites; approve related expenses
  • Oversee the regular delivery of availability and latency reports; align resources to create new or enhanced reporting as needed
  • Monitor and update site frequency registrations; coordinate with internal and external parties to establish new registrations as needed
  • Perform interference analysis and mitigation activities
  • Provide occasional off hours response for network outages

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience leading complex technology projects; previous experience managing wireless site development and/or telecommunications projects highly preferred
  • Previous experience working with microwave backhaul technology a plus
  • Solid knowledge of networking concepts and terminology
  • Strong initiative; proven track record of taking ownership of projects through successful completion
  • Experience leading team meetings, assigning action items and tasks, and performing overall project tracking
  • Strong business acumen and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational skills; strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Valid driver’s license (in order to travel to wireless sites)
  • Previous experience working with Pathloss software and Google Earth for path planning a plus
