The Project Services team within the Global Enterprise Services Organization is looking for a highly skilled Manager of Project Services Delivery lead the lead and manage the internal project managers and manage the relationship with the suppliers and consultants that help drive projects. The role will help ensure that we have the right resources in place to drive projects forward on-time, within budget and at the right level of quality and will partner with the Portfolio leads to ensure the staffing and resources in place for portfolios is optimal. This role reports to the Director of Planning and Alignment.



The role helps to drive overall performance of project delivery within the Project Services Organization and helps to ensure we have the right resources in place to support the suite of projects within the Enterprise Services Organization. This role helps ensure adherence to GPMO standards and completes required audit and training of Project Management resources to ensure standards are being met or adjusted for our needs. This role will also provide the training, instruction, guidance and tactical implementation leadership for the advancement of project management across Global Technology Enterprise Services. This role actively manages the suppliers we currently use to source project managers, ensure we have the right Statements of Work in Place, manage overall performance, drive the right level of value and cost for resources partnering with the Global Technology Vendor Management Office.



The role is ideal for a self-driven, strategic thought leader and people leader who has experience in people leadership, supplier relationship management, project management, consulting, and communications along with financial acumen.

  • Demonstrated experience as a people leader and ability to lead and drive to a high performing team

  • Strong operational and financial acumen (driving best value through projects).

  • Advanced knowledge of training fundamentals and ability to created and execute training material to groups

  • Advanced knowledge of project management tools and best practices applied to technology. With advanced knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project, PlanView, Excel, etc. Advanced knowledge of portfolio management, portfolio risk management, and performance metrics management. Strong knowledge of resource management and allocation.

  • Strong Project Management competencies and understanding of how to apply PM processes for pragmatic approach to project management

  • Strong deployment background and understand of how to best plan and execute technology based projects

  • Strong understanding of business analysis, change management and performance improvement concepts.

  • The successful candidate will be self-confident, results-oriented, persuasive and influential. Ability to drive strong performance from teams and work in a matrixed environment. Ability to present and communicate successfully at leadership meetings which require excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

Experience



  • 8+ years of proven experience in Project Management including planning, organizing, monitoring and leading complex projects in a technology focus

  • 5+ years of proven people leadership working in a matrix organization

  • 2+ years supplier relationship management focused around managed service providers and professional services

  • 1+ years developing and delivering training materials

  • Demonstrate and Educate as a Deep Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Project Management process and tools.

  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and provide necessary structure for projects

  • Experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of the organization.

  • Experience with software methodology development processes.

  • Ability to create presentations and write business cases for senior leadership.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines managing multiple key business priorities.

  • Project budgeting/costing expertise.

  • Ability to solve very complex problems and deal with a variety of work situations.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment

  • Proficiency with MS Office.

Education



  • Bachelor degree in liberal arts, technology, business administration, finance, engineering, or related fields. Advanced degree a plus.

Licenses/Certifications



  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred

  • Agile Certification preferred

Key Responsibilities


· People Management – People lead the project managers within the organization to ensure that projects across their responsibility are being delivered on time, within budget and the within the quality standards.


· Project Standardization and Optimization – Ensure that projects within GTES have the approproiate templates, tools and standards applied for systematic management and optimization of project scoping, planning and execution.


· Project Standards & Clarizen Adherence – Ensure that the Projects that are being managed adher to the standards set by the Global Technology PMO and ensure their project details are updated and maintained according to those standards within the clarizen tool


· Project Management and Intake Training – Lead training to the project management resources within GTES, across McDonald’s or Supplier resources. Ensure they are up to speed with tools, methods and guidelines around project management in McDonald’s


· Clarizen TrainingOwner and Lead of training for Clarizen within the Project Services Organization. Maintain training materials and documents , deliver training as needed to new PMs and ensuring they are up to date on Clarizen standards from the GPMO


· Communication – Leads, Manages or generates necessary communications and cascades as appropriate communication related to Clarizen updates, project management standard changes.


· Project Auditing - Ensure projects are adhering to the GPMO standards, auditing projects across the GTES portfolio, educating and ensuring project managers are up to speed and trained on the standards, tools and activities expected to perform


· Project Risk and Issue Management – Supports team members by helping to resolve and manage escalated risks and issues.


· Supplier Relationship Management – Manager the various suppliers that we use to support the projects across GTES and develop the right supplier/MCD resourcing mix for Project Execution within Enterprise Services


· Beeline timesheet approval – Review and approve timesheets of supplier resources in support of projects.


· Resource Demand Planning – Monitor and manage resource utilization across the suite of projects for GTES, working in partnership with the Portfolio Leaders & Intake and Service Catalogue Manager to ensure we have the right resourcing in place.


· Annual Contract Renewals and Budgeting – Partner with the VMO to ensure that the contracts in place with our suppliers for project management resources are up to date, with the right level of budget.


· Project Performance Metrics – Manage and put in place project performance metrics to systematic understand the overall performance of projects, capacity of the team and best value. Develop and execute the customer satisfaction survey quarterly for the project services team.
