Job Description
TITLE: Release Train Engineer
DUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC. seeks Release Train Engineer in Riverwoods, IL, to support Agile Release Train (ART) processes and standards, program level planning, execution and continuous improvement. Support scrum of scrum forum, manage program level impediments and risks, and ensure the release train stays on track for program level initiatives and features delivery. Ensure transparency about the ART’s delivery, risks and accomplishments. Manage and track program level execution and PI feature delivery, escalate impediments and risks. Participate in tracking ART level metrics and score card. Support program level continuous improvement and consistency across agile release train via retrospectives and scrum of scrums forums. Work with release train engineers to resolve prioritization, conflicts and synchronization. Plan and facilitate the program increment planning event. Aggregate team objectives into program increment objectives and publishes for visibility and transparency. Support program feature grooming and manages program level backlog. Support program level dependencies with other release trains and shared services. Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or foreign equivalent and four (4) years of experience in job offered or related occupation: utilizing Project Management Methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Joint Application Development (JAD), and System Development Lifecycle (SDLC); working within a scaled Agile environment; utilizing Rally tool for Agile; generating metrics across an Agile Release Train (ART); and participating as a scrum master coach.
