The Resource Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day support and coordination of resources for short-term, long-term, and new business projects, working in partnership with the Project Management and HR teams. The individual will have a working knowledge of finance, analysis, organization, and communication. Strong knowledge and understanding of agency workflow and day-to-day operations is an essential part of this role.
Responsibilities
- Conducts weekly resource and utilization meetings with creative function leads, taking detailed notes and reviewing information gathered with the McDonald’s Retail Project Management team
- Conducts scrum meetings with Creative leads, and other function leads as required, to understand project status and resource needs based on information gathered
- Coordinate with Project Management, Finance and the NA Resource Coordinator to process freelance staff business cases and approval
- Generates and manages contingent staff reports monthly as well as quarterly forecasting reports for Discipline Leads and the NA Resource Coordinator to measure estimates vs. actuals
- Supports the development of the Resource Management function for the McDonald’s Retail team
- Partners with Project Management to understand and review project staffing on all projects across the McDonald’s Retail team
- Manages resource requests and submitting them into resource request system (ICIMS) for contingent workers for North America
- Partners with Talent Acquisition for continued alignment of staff needs
- Work with Global HR Business Partners, the NA Resource Coordinator and Project Management teams to coordinate inter-office resource assignments
- Work with HR Business Partners and Department Leads to match skill set to staffing requirements
- Is a subject matter expert on NetSuite and OpenAir
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years’ industry experience in ad agency or interactive shop in a staffing, PM, or operations capacity
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and environment
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Detailed understanding of workflow and project processes from concepting to final execution
- Ability to work quickly and professionally in a high-pressure environment handling multiple work streams at once
- Strong communication skills and the ability to balance and prioritize activities to address critical issues
- Flexible approach to discussing finance and staff matters depending on specific audience and department lead
- Have worked with Resourcing Planning tools or systems. NetSuite/Open Air or Screen Dragons a plus
- Strong Excel skills
