PRIMARY OBJECTIVE 

One North is looking for a Resourcing Operations Coordinator to join our fast-growing team in Chicago. This new position will join our Project Management (PMO) group, assisting with the project resourcing process and will be responsible for key activities for several of the agency’s internal project management tools and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a high level of organizational capability in addition to a desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role is a great opportunity to be a part of a dynamic organization as well as to gain great experience related to technical project management!  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • PeopleSoft project support and administration:  

  • Create & deactivate Project Activities (Tasks). 

  • Add resources to Project Activities based on timing and availability. 

  • Coordinate assignments of new Ongoing Support Team resources to all Ongoing Support projects. 

  • Facilitate weekly resourcing processes: 

  • Collaborate with client services and business development teams to capture new resource needs for discussion. 

  • Identify resourcing booking conflicts for discussion. 

  • Create and send weekly resourcing reminders and meeting notes. 

  • Float (Resource Management Tool) administration: 

  • Add and remove resources and projects. 

  • Add newly assigned project time.  

  • Perform periodic audits of resources and projects to ensure key data is properly entered. 

  • Be able to proactively forecast resource availability (or over-scheduling) and determine possible solutions. 

  • Compile and provide reporting on key metrics across projects for leadership and project owners. 

  • Assist with new report requirements development and creation. 

  • Flag discrepancies between resourced hours (in Float) and budgeted hours (in PeopleSoft) for project owners and leadership. 

  • Enforce weekly time entry deadlines. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS 

  • 0-3 years of professional experience ideally in a digital agency space. Prior resource management experience a plus 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university 

  • Prior exposure to PeopleSoft, Float, or other similar Professional Service Automation tools 

  • Experience with MS-Office 365, specifically Excel 

  • Excellent communication skills; ability to be clear, concise and persistent 

  • Proactive problem-solving abilities to deal with challenging deadlines and priorities 

  • Highly detail oriented and able to work autonomously 

  • Strong multitasking capabilities 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 

  • Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration across various disciplines

Location

Our office is located downtown Chicago at the corner of Franklin & Monroe streets. However, we're currently working together remotely.
