Summary
The Senior Organizational Change Management Specialist will act as the liaison between the business units/client, technology teams and support teams within the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) platform. The individual will work directly with our clients to understand their business/communication and change management needs. This individual will also be responsible for ensuring that deliverables meet client standards and expectations. The successful candidate will work on multiple tasks simultaneously and be a team player.
The Senior Organizational Change Management Specialist will report to the GIS Project Manager Lead.
Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, deliver, and evaluate stakeholder interventions and adjust the Communications and Engagement Plan as needed
- Develop GIS communication materials
- Develop and execute GIS change management strategy for GIS client
- Lead meetings with SME’s, client management and vendor personnel
- Assess, document, and communicate client practices with GIS
- Potentially lead and participate in business function analysis and process mapping
- Participate in vendor mobilization efforts and prepare project structure (governance, steering committee, project plans, communications, project organization, etc.)
- Review and evaluate training plans and supporting documents generated by Trainer for GIS
- Mentor project resources as necessary
Requirements
- Applicants should have at least 3-5 years of business analysis/organization change management experience – specifically within GIS
- Communication development for internal and external stakeholders
- Understanding of various methods for delivery of key communications
- Gas utility experience – EsriPro and knowledge of construction / field operations is desired
- Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is required
- Enterprise Asset Management experience – SAP or IBM Maximo is a plus
- General Consulting experience at a top tier consulting firm – running workshops; defining requirements; mapping processes
- Experience executing change management plan which may include but is not limited to the following:
- Change management strategy
- Communications plan
- Change Impact Analysis which includes:
- Sponsor Roadmap
- Coaching Plan
- Resistance Management Plan
- Training Needs Analysis
- Role Mapping for Security and User provisioning
- Knowledge Transfer Plan
- Strong business analyst skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Possess strong oral and written communication to provide presentations to management
- A team player with the willingness to assist coworkers on other projects as required
- Familiarity with Microsoft based applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project)
- Understanding of the business analysis and project change management methods and principles
- Understanding of System Development Lifecycle (Waterfall and Agile)
- Project Management experience – PMP certification a plus
- Verbal and Written Communication
