The team
Our Product & Program Management teams work on some of the most impactful and challenging problems in the Software industry. We are a highly collaborative cross-border group that operates on the edge between Engineering and the business and helps to design solutions from concept to launch – all while focusing on and advocating for what’s best for our customers. We work closely with Engineering and Design to create some of the most innovative never-been-done-before products. We partner with the Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Security teams to bring the product to market.

This position
The Senior Program Manager – Act will lead and motivate our teams by introducing efficient process, driving innovative and measurable solutions to maximize efficiency for team members, and working in unison with the product development teams to create the best experiences for our customers. You will be responsible for managing programs of large scope, impact, and complexity through all phases of the lifecycle. You will manage interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders. You will include a focus on process and the ideal candidate will be a solid transformation change professional.

This position is an Individual Contributor reporting to the Senior Manager, Program Management. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with development teams and Product Manager to determine realistic end-to-end launch plan and schedules for new products and features
  • Identify and track risks to engineering delivery and overall program schedules
  • Define communication plan for program and communicate schedules, dependencies, issues, risks and results across teams and to stakeholders including senior executives as needed
  • Manage teams across disciplines and geographies (SF, Seattle, Chicago)
  • Train teams on Agile practices when necessary including stepping in as Scrum Master while training the teams
  • Ensure adherence to engineering SDLC and visibility to release management (e.g. release targets updated during sprint planning)
  • Evaluate existing processes and procedures in order to drive process improvement and adoption of best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Conduct change management efforts of moderate to high complexity impacting one or multiple missions’ cross-functional processes
  • Travel as required (~20% of time estimated)

Basic Qualifications

  • BS degree in a technology related area of study or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years leading complex, cross-functional, global programs
  • Proficient using Atlassian Toolset: Jira, Confluence, Portfolio, HipChat
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with multiple technical functions in the areas of infrastructure, technical operations, release management, and software engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to influence and collaborate in a matrixed environment having multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working with executives and software developers effectively
  • Experience building strong cross-team relationships and partnerships
  • Experience dealing with ambiguity and working in a company that has scaled or experience in both small and large-scale software development organizations.
  • Ability to quickly understand and communicate technical concepts and challenges across wide-ranging audiences
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Aptitude for identifying areas for improvement and developing appropriate new processes
