Senior Project Manager (Analytics & Insight)
The Senior Project Manager is responsible focused primarily on projects in the Analytics & Insights and Marketing Services practices. This person is responsible for building and maintaining internal cross-functional relationships that aid in the successful execution of project and practice goals. He/she is also responsible for managing one or multiple client projects and/or accounts and ensuring that project work is delivered on time and stays within scope and budget.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, manage and mentor a team of project managers, focused on both Analytics and Marketing Services consulting
- Help articulate overall project management strategy for Analytics and Marketing Services
- Research and implement appropriate project management tools and techniques to improve project management overall
- Work with department managers to coordinate internal resources (including both project managers and consultants) for the successful execution of projects; balance capabilities and utilization targets appropriately
- Work with project managers to deliver projects on-time, within scope and within budget
- During Sales process for select prospects, provide appropriate input to ensure SOW can be delivered upon and resources can be allocated
- After projects begin, work with the account manager and client to set appropriate expectations of project scope and objectives, and ensure technical feasibility
- Where appropriate, assist project managers and analysts with developing detailed project plans to monitor and track project progress
- Assist project managers and analysts with managing changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- When necessary, report on project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Report and escalate client issues and utilization concerns to management as needed
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation models/templates for use by project management team and analysts
- Maintain GAIQ and AdWords certifications
- Conduct other responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree within a related area of study (e.g. Communication, Marketing, Business), or an Associate’s Degree with 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Some technical background with the understanding or hands on experience with web analytics and/or search marketing; basic coding knowledge (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) also a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Experience with cloud-based tools (Dropbox, Google for Work Apps, etc.)
- Experience with specific project management tools such as JIRA, Basecamp (2.0), Confluence, Outlook, and OpenAir/NetSuite
