The Senior Provider Relationship Manager is responsible for overall relationship management for McDonald's Global Technology’s portfolio of providers. They own the implementation of provider strategy and cultivate the delivery of VMO’s value and efficiency globally within McDonald’s. In this key role, they liaise and collaborate with Global Technology and other business units and partner teams, McDonald’s senior management, owner operators and our providers.
You will work closely with various departments and teams and act as advocates in representing McDonald’s objectives in any contract negotiations. You will establish and optimize new and existing provider relationships to ensure the successful delivery of Global Technology’s initiatives. You will be responsible for the full provider lifecycle including: identifying, negotiating, on-boarding, establishing and maintaining governance, handling service delivery and performance and, as required, off-boarding.
- 10+ years’ experience in IT/Technology related provider management working with large scale providers & negotiating provider / hardware contracts
- Project management experience on large scale hardware / software roll outs
- Good conceptual thinking with ability to communicate complex issues and information to all levels of the organization
- Strong business discernment with a track record of successful provider governance and overall relationship management
- Creative thinking when negotiating, closing and managing provider agreements with specific experience in closing/managing large-scale contracts
- Excellent presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented, collaborative leadership skills and ability to lead cross-functional colleagues and provider teams
- Demonstrated and strong ability to remain focused under pressure
Adaptable and flexible while working in a busy global team
- Identify, negotiate, and on-board new suppliers
- Execute contractual changes with key partners
- Lead development/facilitation/reporting of the provider performance scorecard (Executive, Functional, Operational reporting).
- Facilitate the resolution of chronic, systemic and/or critical contract or performance issues/disputes
- Monitor provider’s contract performance against defined terms, conditions, and service level methodology to ensure all deliverables and obligations are being met
- Ensure McDonald’s stakeholders understand our contractual obligations and monitoring our compliance to them
- Lead the contract benchmarking and renewal process with engagement from our partners
- Review, validate and approve provider invoices to ensure they are aligned with contract approved pricing and terms/conditions
- Align VMO’s strategy, procedures and processes with other Global Technology teams and other business partner teams
Role Responsibilities:
- Handle an assigned portfolio of key Global Technology providers and, ultimately, the overall success of those relationship(s)
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to business partners, corporate sourcing/procurement and legal teams in contract-related activities
- Provide clarity on and interpretation of contractual obligations personnel, including contract education and awareness
- Use a structured and robust governance process, facilitate timely resolution of contractual and performance issues to minimize impact of service disruptions
- Facilitate the engagement of key executives in the governance processes for providers, including the facilitation of key decisions related to agreements
- Execute provider program and risk management strategies on behalf of McDonald’s
