Our Styling Experience/Trunk Club is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager II to join our technology team. In this role, you will play a significant role in establishing program management as a function for the Trunks Engineering team. Technical Program Managers at Nordstrom have a strong sense of ownership, pride and accountability for technical solutions, and are responsible for end-to-end quality of what is released. The Senior Program Manager 2 partners with internal stakeholders to develop, design, build and launch technology solutions. This position interacts with people in both business and technical roles to create specifications and resolve issues with an eye toward continuous improvement. This position works across department and functional lines on a variety of programs that range in scope, risk and complexity, and success is measured in terms of Return on Investment (ROI), new capabilities, and benefit delivery.

The Trunks Engineering team has ambitious plans to prepare for an integrated Nordstrom styling experience while continuing to improve on the overall trunk experience for our customers.  The person filling this role will be integral in achieving our goals by partnering with other Nordstrom program managers, product owners and engineering teams to build out and manage the execution of trunk engineering efforts.

• Experience managing enterprise-wide programs and possesses a track record of successful program delivery preferably in multiple areas
• Ability to understand and contribute to formation of the big picture strategic goals, build out tactical plans to get there, and effectively manage to those plans across multiple technology teams
• Strong, broad, and deep technical knowledge of end-to-end technical solutions. Ability to contribute and provide input on technical plans and represent the technical team perspective in meetings with other engineering teams and business stakeholders.
• First-hand experience with the development lifecycle, which enables creation of efficient and useful estimates of effort to complete engineering work streams
• Courage in the face of obstacles – shows initiative in unblocking efforts via creative solutions, leveraging their network of trusted colleagues, etc.  This person leans into obstacles and is geared towards action and problem-solving over placing blame.
• Understands of the importance of differing viewpoints when building the best solutions and enables healthy collaboration across teams.
• Avoids making assumptions when possible; instead uses data to measure success from both a business and technology perspective.  When data is not available, makes reasonable assumptions to enable the team to move forward with planning exercises.
