Small Business Programs Director-MAR0001FR
Responsible for growing and cultivating relationships with Agents/Brokers/Accounts to support new and existing Programs for small business (SB) insurance across the country. This role is responsible for increasing SB commercial premium growth through ongoing account and agent/broker relationship management, while partnering internally with SB Sales, SB program underwriting and SB commercial line management. Collaborates with sales and operations teams to develop and implement ongoing commercial program strategies and goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
- Works closely with the Small Business Programs Consultant(s) to evaluate new program opportunities generated by the consultant or program opportunities referred by the field.
- With Small Business Sales Leadership, develops financial plans and program budgets to influence the mid to long term operational program objectives. Secures necessary resources to achieve objectives and allocates resources to optimize budget.
- Participates in the development of overall commercial program goals, strategies, and new product ideas and services.
- Acts as a lead liaison with SB commercial line management, SB program underwriting, SB P&L leadership, Small Business Sales and marketing.
- Ensures strategic and operational execution is consistent with department/corporate goals, policies, quality assurance and growth objectives.
- Develops Program relationship reporting package for Small Business Executive Team, program account leadership, and CNA Branch Manager review (monthly update).
- Establishes and maintains strong collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.
- Coordinates with Branch Leaders and Small Business Sales for production and communication strategies to achieve and sustain business plan objectives within existing program relationships.
- Serves as key point of contact for Broker/Agent and program account relationships, achieves customer retention targets and contributes to the sale of new business by representing the CNA SB commercial value proposition to existing and new programs.
- Champions new ideas and initiatives; identifies and actualizes new business opportunities; fosters innovation and calculated risk-taking.
- Has an understanding of the financial/insurance industry sectors in which CNA operates. Requires commercial awareness to understand relative positioning of the company's products and services vs. the competition. May represent company in industry trade groups.
May perform additional duties as assigned.

1. Strong knowledge of the insurance industry and in depth knowledge of the organization's products, policies and procedures. Stays informed on relevant insurance industry trends.

4. Excellent technical and business management acumen, uses metrics and information analysis and accesses technology resources as needed, claims resolution skills and knowledge of insurance and claims principles, practices and procedures.

9. Ability to travel to field locations as necessary.
Education & Experience
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
2. Typically a minimum of 10 years experience in sales and client relationship experience in comparable industries with at least 5 years of management experience
3. Applicable certifications desired such as CPCU, ARM, AIC, etc.
