Sr. Advisor, Application Support
What We'll Bring:
The Technical Service Owner for TI&S is a new, strategic, and highly visible role that is accountable for the overall infrastructure delivery for TransUnion business service(s). They will partner closely with the business / application service owners, project managers, and infrastructure domain leads to plan and deliver on committed infrastructure work, while being fully aligned to the application development scrum team(s). This person will report directly to the VP of Infrastructure Strategic Initiatives. We can’t overstate the excitement around this role and influence it will have within this dynamic organization.
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years of management, team lead, and / or project management experience.
- Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure such as network, server, storage, database, middleware, and Cloud technologies is a must.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and contribute to multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer science related field (such as Computer Science, Engineering, Application Development or MIS), and at least 7 years of IT experience.

Impact You'll Make:
- Act as the single point of contact for Service Owner (SO) for infrastructure delivery needs. Accountable for the overall infrastructure delivery for supported business service(s).
- Ensure infrastructure teams delivers on priorities; including new business functionality, security work, infrastructure refresh, capacity management, audit functions, innovation/continuous improvements, incident/problem remediation, etc.
- Partner closely with SO and Project Managers (PM), in conjunction with Infrastructure Delivery Working Group to represent TI&S at pre-PI planning workshops, attend PI planning and commit to the appropriate level of delivery work, prioritize coming delivery work queue, manage fly-in’s and facilitate trade off discussions, etc.
- Partner closely with PM and infrastructure domain managers to report on status of the committed infrastructure delivery tasks; including stories in progress and estimated delivery date, work in backlog, what blockers exist and path to resolve, etc.
- Assist with management of the infrastructure technology budget for the supported business services(s). Propose and advocate for initiatives that enhance the services of the business service during the annual budget cycle, and then utilize those funds to deliver the expected service.
- Support off hours bridge calls, etc. for the supported business service(s). TSOs will be expected to provide leadership on the bridge call and drive to resolution.
- Manage a process / forum to ensure alignment exists with key stakeholders on all of the above.
- Understands the application(s) for the supported business service(s), underlying infrastructure components and business drivers for infrastructure changes. Takes a solution oriented view to changes in infrastructure that incorporates the needs of the supported business service(s).
- Drive out infrastructure related operational defects and security needs for the supported business service(s). Ensure availability goals, SLAs, etc. for the business are documented and tracked.
