Job Description:

Project Manager/Scrum Master within the Data Warehouse organization working on a variety of projects including: Regulatory/Compliance, Enterprise Corporate Flagship/Top Tier, Business Unit initiatives and a diverse variety of other cross functional efforts.

This role will be responsible for all aspects of the Project Development Life Cycle, by assembling project teams and leading through project management phases (requirements, design, build, test, and implementation).

Responsibilities:

• This person will be responsible for establishing a project plan and ensuring milestones are met, requirements are tested and issues mitigated.
• Qualified candidates must be able to facilitate meetings and provide status reporting to management.
• Position requires the ability to successfully manage timelines, deliverables, and work simultaneously.
• Ability to follow the DFS (Discover Financial Services) project methodology is required.
• Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes

Skills:
Required Skills:

• 3-5 years project management experience
• Position requires the ability to successfully manage timelines, deliverables, and work groups simultaneously.
• Ability to follow the DFS project methodology is required.
• Effective communication skills to all levels of management and strong leadership are a must.
• Highly organized and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Must demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work with all levels of Management
• Ability to proactively resolve complex problems independently
• Outstanding client relationship skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• MS Office Suite experience

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with Tableau
• Agile experience preferred
• Background of regulatory/compliance is desired
• Familiarity with Atlassian JIRA
• SAFE Testing Certification
• Scrum Master Certification
