Job Summary
Under technical direction manages business improvement projects and develops and provides information and analysis on projects to support the decision-making process and business operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
- Conducts complex research and analysis to quantify business opportunities and issues and develops formal recommendations for presentation to management.
- Works with internal and external business partners to generate solutions to business issues and plans/implements those solutions.
- Leads efforts to develop new or revised processes/procedures for the assigned areas.
- Acts as a liaison between management technical staff and others in the department to understand business issues and develop and recommend the most cost-effective solutions.
- Formulates complex financial and/or statistical data used in various analysis processes.
- Prepares reports for management.
- Prepares and gives presentations to management or appropriate individuals on project status.
- Attends meetings sessions conferences etc. relating to current management needs.
- May develop training plans and/or develop training materials.
- May have supervisory responsibility.

Skills Knowledge and Abilities
1. Strong knowledge of project management principles and project leadership skills.
2. Knowledge of the insurance industry as well as the organization's strategies goals and business objectives.
3. Excellent analytical organizational and problem solving skills.
4. Ability to prepare and interpret financial and statistical reports.
5. Ability to exercise independent judgement and to make critical business decisions effectively.
6. Good communication interpersonal and presentation skills both verbal and written.
7. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
2. Typically a minimum of five years project related experience plus three years project management experience.
