We’re looking for a Sr. Manager, Supply Planning to join our Supply Chain team in Chicago, IL. 

General Functions + Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of strategic plans to optimize production planning and scheduling across all product lines and merchandising assets through the utilization of various forecasting models, statistical analysis and cross-functional planning
  • Identify, develop, and implement key performance metrics for material and production planning across co-manufacturing and co-packing network
  • Develop multi-facility production and deployment strategies in conjunction with Integrated Business Planning, customer supply chain, and key account goals to determine replenishment plans and inventory turns.
  • Define finished goods inventory parameters and measurables in alignment with targeted business strategy service levels, establish SOPS for intra-company inventory transfers and determine optimal transfer thresholds
  • Lead the development of SOPs and process improvements initiatives to drive organizational efficiencies for supply, deployment, and production planning
  • Plan, review, measure, forecast, and adjust intra-company shipments utilizing company business systems
  • Create and communicate short and long term deployment forecasts through S&OP/IBP process and manage ongoing execution of aligned plans
  • Develop North American omni-channel inventory management strategy by product/sku type that spans the entire distribution network including value-added service and repack nodes
  • Liaise with Logistics and Distribution teams to coordinate intra-company transfers and resolve issues including a near-term warehousing capacity constraints
  • Ensure successful customer display & promotion execution by working with Integrated Planning, Procurement, Transportation and Distribution to communicate inventory deployment plans and other operational specifics
  • Supervise production of reports and analytics that measure performance and provide recommendations to ensure objectives fit with business strategy and goals. Ensure that the resolution of exceptions is appropriate to meet financial and commercial objectives
  • Initiate/participate in self-development and training of others

Skills + Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering required
  • 10+ years of Supply Chain experience
  • Six Sigma Black Belt / APICS certification preferred
  • Proven leadership with Statistical Forecasting Methods, Inventory Planning, Demand Planning and Inventory Control
  • Food manufacturing and Consumer Packaged Good experience preferred
  • Collaborative skills in resolving excess or shortage inventory situations
  • Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills required; development of analytical models in Excel
  • Highly adaptable & resourceful
  • Strong customer orientation, and sense of ownership
  • Strong analytical skills, detailed oriented, excellent communication and team building skills
  • Ability to deal with complexity and manage ambiguity
  • Demonstrated project management skills

The Sr. Manager, Supply Planning is highly a visible supply chain role responsible for owning and optimizing production and deployment plans across all production and distribution nodes within our North American supply chain network. Success will be measured by the ability to drive targeted levels of inventory productivity in support of customer service and company profitability goals. This role will ensure alignment between supply plans and deployment execution with the business strategy, as related to assortments, priorities, and objectives. The manager will act as a liaison to Manufacturing, IBP, Sales, Logistics, and Customer Supply Chain to establish parameters for exception monitoring, order allocation, fulfillment, and inventory constraint resolutions.
