SR. MINING CONTRACT CONSULTANT
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job responsibilities include:
Track and manage financial exposure associated with risk-partnered dealer contracts. Quantify and report dealer and Caterpillar risk for each contract
Analyze and approve new dealer contract support enrollments. Manage the sales funnel of contract opportunities from initial inquiry through to signed contracts
Support dealers and internal customers with the development of cost per hour rates
Identify key drivers of contract liability and work across the enterprise to mitigate risks
Act as the subject matter expert for contract support programs, practices and procedures. Own and refine the standard work that supports management of risk-partnered contracts.
Travel requirement: <10%
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field
8+ years of job-related experience
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Excellent interpersonal skills are required to work with Caterpillar and Dealer executive leadership and others inside and outside the department.
Prior experience in Caterpillar dealer-facing roles
Understanding of Caterpillar service systems and tools
Previous experience related to dealer service operation
Previous experience with M&R Rate Development Tools (Builder, Calculator, Service Option Collaborator, AMT, etc) and Processes
Understanding of Caterpillar Mining Equipment Management practices
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent relationship building and communication skills
Focus on process improvement
