Sr. Project Manager - Accounting (Part-time)

The Sr. Project Manager - Accounting works closely with the Finance and Accounting team to execute special projects related to a variety of areas including reporting, labor, accounting, and payroll. This role will start as part-time and transition to full time maternity coverage for the Controller.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Lead various projects focused on providing management more accurate and timely information around its performance specifically labor
- Work with leaders in various departments/facilities to understand our current processes around labor and payroll to determine the areas of opportunity
- Improve payroll/HR processes where needed in order to develop more accurate tracking of labor spend by line of business or product type
- Manage projects related to improving accounting efficiency and effectiveness in various accounting areas such as deferred revenue and capitalized software
- Review current accounting processes around deferred revenue and capitalized software to identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop more streamlined processes to ensure accuracy and clear reporting
- Review weekly and monthly reporting developed by the accounting team
- Provide maternity coverage for Controller which includes overseeing the Accounting and Payroll teams
- Work with the Retail and New Product teams to establish efficient accounting processes around new products and businesses that provide the level of reporting needed
Qualifications:
- 7+ years Accounting experience required
- Strong Computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Detail oriented, organized and be able to juggle multiple tasks and projects at once
- Demonstrate strong communication and professional written skills
- Proactive in identifying problems and finding innovative solutions
- Ability to understand the big picture as well as exceptional attention to detail
- Skilled at dealing with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical skills
- Project management or consulting experience a plus
